 Cultural Center “Cinema Theatre Kyiv” is the festival center for the last five years. This year the
 center of the festival is also Zhovten cinema theatre. Special screenings – in the cinema theatre
 “Kinopanorama”.
This year “Molodist” is celebrating its 40th anniversary. “Molodist” is the only international film festival
in Ukraine that is officially acknowledged by International Association of Film Producers (FIАPF).

Kyiv International Film Festival “Molodist” expresses gratitude to the embassies of the following
countries: France, Germany, the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Argentina, Greece, Mexico, the
Netherlands, and also cultural institutions: French cultural center, Goete Institute, Italian cultural
center.
Separate gratitude to French cultural centre and its Director Matthieu-M. Ardin for the organization and
support of the Great French program of the jubilee Film festival.

Opening film - «Cartagena» (France). Director Alain Monne. Starring Sophie Marceau and Christophe
Lambert.

Closing film – “You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger” (USA-Spain). Director – Woody Allen.

Main Jury will award the following prizes:

       Grand Prix for the best film of all competition programs – the Scythian Deer and $10.000
       Best full-length feature film prize $2.500
       Best short film prize $2.500
       Best student film prize $2.500
       Yves Montand prize (best young actor/actress) EUR1.000

Prizes for the “Contribution to the Development of Cinematography” will be presented to the prominent
contemporary cinematographers in the context of the 40th jubilee Kyiv International Festival
“Molodist”.

The prize “For the Development of Ukrainian cinematography” founded by International Charity Fund
“Ukraine 3000” will be awarded during the solemn closing ceremony of the 40th jubilee Kyiv
International Festival “Molodist”.
Solemn opening and closing ceremonies will be conducted in Taras Shevchenko National Opera House of
Ukraine. Opening ceremony organizer – TV-channel “Ukraine”. It will provide the live transmission.

The festival Talent studio will traditionally work during the festival. It will provide master classes of the
first-rate world cinematographers. This year the project is organized in collaboration with Culture and
Education centre “Master Klass”.

Molodist TV and Molodist.TXT are the strong information resources, the interactive sources of the full
and actual information about all the events of Film Festival “Molodist”. These projects are carried out
with the support of the festival internet partner - Tochka.net.

Molodist TV – the festival TV-channel of indoor and internet television. It creates the unique video
product which is very important for the festival atmosphere. The project started in 2009 during the 39 th
Kyiv International Film Festival "Molodist".

Molodist.TXT – the official festival newspaper. It has not only informative function but also gives
interpretation on the events and films. The latest news, interviews with the members of the Jury, film
reviews and the program for the day will make “Molodist.TXT” the best festival guide.
