Hey everyone,
Welcome to The Local SEO Monster. First off thanks for buying a copy of my latest course, I
know this will be truly beneficial for you in your offline marketing careers.
Now that you are inside, this course is laid out in a specific order.
1. How to find clients to offer your services to
2. How to lay a strong SEO foundation for your client’s website
3. How to outsource your client’s off-page SEO work to an expert
By outsourcing all of the off-page SEO, it allows us to truly spend our time focused on what
makes us the most money.
So let’s get started and go make some money!
3 The Local SEO Monster | Created By Will Perkins
The majority of this part of the course is on video, which is included in the video’s
folder. But we will cover a basic description of my top ways to acquire clients to add
to the video’s detail.
Chamber of Commerce - The chamber of commerce is a GREAT resource to use if you are an offline
marketer. The people that are active in the chamber are willing to spend money investing into their
business.
• Easy to contact
• Members that are willing to invest in their business
• Multiple connections with other local businesses
• Easy to find business information
• Lots of social networking events to meet other businesses & promote yourself
4 The Local SEO Monster | Created By Will Perkins
Now I’m going to give you a brief overview of how I go about accessing a business’s
information that belongs to the chamber of commerce.
Now above is what my local chamber of commerce’s website looks like. I simply click on the
“Member Businesses” link on the left hand column to get redirected to the page with all of the
businesses listed.
5 The Local SEO Monster | Created By Will Perkins
On this page it lists every category that is available for member businesses. Now your local chamber
may not look identical to this, but every chamber does have some form of a directory. Be sure to
utilize this resource to its maximum potential.
I’m now going to click on the first category available to find out a business’s specific information.
6 The Local SEO Monster | Created By Will Perkins
Great, now we have a business’s name, owners name, location, and phone number. But that’s not
quite enough because what do we want to offer? We want to give out top quality SEO services at
affordable rates that companies will run towards.
I go and click on the first businesses link “More Information” to find out a few more details before
putting this on my potential list of businesses to contact.
7 The Local SEO Monster | Created By Will Perkins
Awesome! We’ve now collected all the information we need to contact this business. What’s even
better is that not only can we offer them SEO services, but they don’t have a website listed on their
chamber page. This means we can also quote them for an entire web design + SEO services job.
The more money the better, right?

YellowPages.com - The YellowPages are not only a good way to find clients, but to leverage them. By
convincing business owners that you are better than the YellowPages you’ve not only established a new
client that trusts you, but one that will refer you.
• Very easily navigated website
• Great for leveraging businesses in your direction
• Typically established businesses
• Clients that are willing to invest in their business
So here are just a handful of bullet points and small example picture tutorials for you to process. I hope
you truly understand how valuable the chamber of commerce and the YellowPages can be to truly
improve your offline marketing careers.
Now that we have successfully established those two resources, let’s move on to what SEO services
we can offer local businesses and build up our monthly residual income.

Now I’m going to give you a brief overview of how I go about accessing a business’s
information that appears on the YellowPages website (http://www.yp.com/).
Now above is what the YellowPages website looks like. I simply type in the type of business I am
looking for and the city I am located in and click the big “Find” button on the right hand side.
For this situation I am going to look for the same thing I was searching for above at my chamber of
commerce, accountants.

I have highlighted the area that we’re going to be focusing on. We have tons of results as you can see,
over 350 just for this local area alone. I personally live in a larger city, but you’ll see large results
yourself pretty much anywhere you live.
We have the businesses name, address, and phone number. But we need more, so on the next page,
we need to collect their website (if they have one).

Finally, we have the businesses YellowPages webpage. On this page we have a map, business details
(extensive), maps & directions, reviews, and website. Currently on this page this particular business
does not have a website listed. So like the last lead we gathered, we could also offer them a website
package quote, along with a SEO services package.
That concludes our overview of the two websites I use to gather leads. We’ll now continue on
to the bulk of this course, “How to lay a strong SEO foundation for your client’s website”.

Welcome to part 2 of The Local SEO Monster. Inside this portion of The
Local SEO Monster is the real meat of this course. We’re going to be
covering how to add proper on-page SEO techniques that lay a strong
foundation for your offline client’s websites.
The nice thing about this ‘service’ is that it’s easy. Whether you’re an experienced web
developer or complete newbie to computer languages, you can do these simple tasks.
Personally whenever I do a local businesses website, there are a certain number of things I go
through to make sure that the page is optimized for top results. I’m going to go through my list
step by step, and cover each one in detail so you can provide these same services to your offline
marketing clients.
#1 - Proper Domain Selection
This is VITAL. Choosing the right domain name is everything for an offline business, especially
when they are hoping to get traffic and business from their website.
Choosing the correct domain name is the starting point, and to choose the right domain name a
lot of people immediately think “Keyword Tool!” Wrong. This is definitely not the correct first
step you take, and you’re probably wondering why? Keyword tools fail to include one HUGE
factor for offline marketing, really specific local keywords.
A perfect example of this is when you search for something in your local area, do you type in:
“Car Repair” or “[Your City] Car Repair”. Obviously the second one, but whenever you use a
keyword tool it’s not going to recommend using the second one, because it probably is getting
far less search results compared to the first.
#2 - Correct Page Titling
Without the proper title tag, the page is going to rank incorrectly. Not to mention it’s going to
be incredibly hard for anyone to find you. Inside every title tag you need to have at least two
keywords.
For example:
WRONG - Tampa Auto Repair | Your Number One Car Repair Service
RIGHT - Tampa Auto Repair | Your Number One Tampa Auto Repair Service

#3 - Outgoing/Ingoing Links
An outgoing link is natural, most people will tell you they are horrible, but not having them isn’t
a good thing either. Imagine a website getting thousands of hits a day, but no outgoing links.
That’s going to send up some red flags to Google, so instead of hurting ourselves by getting
involved in some link sharing program, we only link to very specific authority websites.
A good example of a website to link too would be Wikipedia. So if we were looking at car repair,
using a link such as:
<a href=”http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auto_mechanic” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow”> Car
Repair </a>
*** Tip: For random links on the website, it’s best to remove them if they provide no relevant value. If they
are absolutely necessary, then you need to at least add the rel=”nofollow” tag to them to prevent it from
hurting your standing with Google.
Another important element about link building is internal page links. By linking to other pages
on our website we are building internal links, which can help SEO rankings. They are not as
strong as backlinks or other link building methods, but building anchor links to other pages
already on our website it will definitely help.
#4 - Proper Keyword Usage
Keywords are by far the most important element to a page, especially when it comes to offline
marketing. If you fail to establish a proper “main keyword” and “sub-keywords”, you’ll never be
able to deliver good results to your clients.
Usually whatever page you are trying to rank will have some body of text on it. What I
personally recommend is having a Wordpress blog-setup for your main site. This allows you to
be able to flood your page with keywords you are trying to rank.
• Start off by making sure that title of the article or “header” on the page is an <H1>
heading tag. This establishes authority on your page, and if your keyword is inside the
<H1> tag it will help your SEO results. It is also important to try and use your main and
sub keywords throughout the page with header tags, such as <H2>, <H3>, <H4>, <H5>,
<H6>. By doing this, you are establishing what you want search engines to perceive as
most important on the page.
14 The Local SEO Monster | Created By Will Perkins
• Secondly, we have to focus on the body of text we’ll be using. Typically these articles
need to be a minimum of 750 words while not going over 1,250 words. From what I
have tested myself in the offline marketing area, people do not tend to read more than
1,250 words, but have trouble finding what they want in under 750. This satisfies both
Google and your visitors.
• Another important factor to remember is that your article is an opportunity for you to
“flood” your page with keywords. I don’t mean every third word needs to be “your main
keyword”, but usually a minimum of 6% of the total article should be whatever keyword
you’re trying to rank.
• Also whenever you’re writing the articles, you need to make sure that the keywords
appear in certain areas. Scattering them randomly in the article will help, but will not be
the most effective for optimal results. Make sure that in the first sentence, usually
within the first ten words, your “main” keyword appears. They should also appear in the
middle and ends of paragraphs.
Brief Example:
I don’t think I’ve ever had better Tampa auto repair service than at [business name].
This is a corny and horrible example, but it gets the point across as to how you need to
have the main keyword in the first sentence.
*** Tip: It’s usually recommended to have the keyword at the beginning of your post bolded for
clear “distinction” in Google.
#5 - Using Images “Correctly”
A lot of people seem to forget about a very key element to on-page SEO, images. Most consider
using an alt tag all you can do, but I’ve tested and proven differently. Using the ALT tag is a great
first step, but why not go one step farther and actually name the image whatever keyword
you’re ranking for?
<img src="BusinessName-Keyword.jpg" alt=”Keyword + Phrase” />
By doing this your keyword density is higher than with traditional methods of using images.
*** Tip: Be sure to not do this to EVERY image, but only the main ones such as the header, footer, and
images “placed” in the actual website (not backgrounds, fillers, etc…)

Welcome to part 3 of The Local SEO Monster. Inside this portion of The
Local SEO Monster we go over how we can outsource off-page SEO for
REALLY low rates. I’ve personally tested this service in the past, and it works
miracles (especially for local keywords). Did I mention that you’ll be able to charge upwards of
$300.00 a month for this service, and it will only cost you $60.00 one-time?
You do the math, but the profits there are way up there. So without further ado, part 3…
First off, click on this link: http://yooct.com/hoist
We start off by clicking on the Pricing link as displayed in the above picture.
16 The Local SEO Monster | Created By Will Perkins
Followed by this page... As you can see, this is a great resource to use for off-page SEO, and it
only costs $60.00!!! You can upgrade to the larger package if you decide to charge more to
your SEO clients, but there honestly is no need.
I use the “UP!” package and it works great.
Next we’ll just click on the “Order Now!” link.
17 The Local SEO Monster | Created By Will Perkins
Now select the “The Hoist “UP!”” package, and then click “Click to Continue > >”
On the next page I scroll down just a bit in the screenshot to show you where to enter your
custom settings, so don’t worry just because the logo isn’t up at the top
18 The Local SEO Monster | Created By Will Perkins
This is the last page before you go to make your purchase. Inside this box with the arrow
pointed at it, enter your URL and your keywords.
It needs to be entered in this order:
“URL”, “Keyword1”, “Keyword2”
I personally only recommend doing a max of two keywords per hoist. You’ll benefit in other
keywords as well just by doing the hoist, but the primary focus will be on the two you choose.
19 The Local SEO Monster | Created By Will Perkins
Again thank you for buying a copy of The Local SEO Monster. I hope this
guide has shown you an incredibly simple service you can offer to your
offline marketing clients and truly bring in several hundred dollars a month
off of each client. Don’t forget to check out the bonuses and attend the webinar in a few
weeks!
Thanks everyone, c-ya later!
