Day 01 Delhi
Arrive at Delhi and transfer to your hotel for the night.

Day 02 Delhi
Start a full-day tour of Old and New Delhi after breakfast. DELHI, the capital of
kingdoms and empires is now a sprawling metropolis with a fascinating blend of
the past and the present. It is a perfect introduction to the composite culture of an
ancient land. A window to the kaleidoscope - that is India. A sightseeing tour of
Old Delhi would entail visiting the Raj Ghat - the memorial site where Mahatma
Gandhi was cremated; Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India and the Red
Fort - once the most opulent fort and palace of the Moghul Empire. An extensive
sightseeing tour of New Delhi would include a visit to the Humayun's Tomb, the
Qutub Minar, a drive along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath, past the imposing
India Gate, Parliament House, the President's Residence, Lotus Temple and a
drive through the Diplomatic Enclave.

Day 03 Delhi - Raipur - Kawardha
In time transfer to the domestic airport for your flight to Raipur. Upon arrival
drive north wards to the former Princely State of Kawardha. You will be shown
to your Palace suite before lunch in the State Dining room. An afternoon of
familiarisation with Palace Kawardha and nearby cultural sites, including the
captivating Bhoramdeo Temple complex. You return to the Palace at sunset and
then dinner.

Day 04 Kawardha
After breakfast, you will meet the gentle and friendly Baiga people, the
indigenous forest tribe. Enjoy lunch with them. Later return to the Palace and
Proceed for a royal family dinner.

Day 05 Kawardha - Raipur - Kanker
In the morning drive to Kanker via Raipur and visit Raipur's Mahant Ghasidas
Museum before leaving for the former princley State of Kanker. Upon arrival at
Kanker Palace, the Maharaja's family will greet you and show you to your
palatial rooms. Day 06 Kanker - Kondagaon - Narayanpur - Kanker After your
breakfast at the Palace, the Bastar tribal experience begins. You will encounter
here the special nature of North Bastar with a visit to a colorful weekly market. It
gives you a great oportunity to meet the local people. At Kondagaon and
Narayanpur discover some of Bastar's finest handicrafts, and the people who
make them. Lunch will be a picnic in the deep green sal forests. Anearly evening
dance by youthful members of Bastar's unique 'ghotul' dormitory system
completes an unforgettable day before a star - lit return to Kanker and a late
dinner.

Day 06 Kanker – Jagdalpur
After breakfast, leave for Jagdalpur, Bastar's main town and former capital, three
hours away. Checking in to a comfortable local hotel, relax over leisure lunch. In
the afternoon, a royal guided tour of historical Jagdalpur and the
Anthropological Museum is completed by a sunset idyll at the Chitrakote
waterfal, Bastar's very own 'Niagara' on the Indravati River: you will also visit
some of the local Bison - Horn Maria tribe, renowned for their spectacular
ceremonical dancing. Conditions permitting, a barbecue is served under the stats
in authentic Bastar style. You will be entertained by a performance of the tribal
people, before returning to your hotel.

Day 07 Jagdalpur - Kanger Valley National Park - Jagdalpur
An early breakfast allows time for a visit to the rich forests of the Kanger Valley
National Park, the enchanting Tirathgarh waterfall and the extraordinary
stalactite and stalagmite caves. Kanger retains the original intensity of the forests
that once covered this whole region, and you will picnic in the natural habitat of
leopard, tiger, sambhar, bison and the Bastar Hill Myna. Here too are forest tribal
people in their natural habitat. There will be time also to explore some of
Jagdalpur's unique handicrafts before dinner at the hotel with your royal guides.

Day 08 Jagdalpur - Bissam Cuttack.
After breakfast drive to Bissam Cuttack. Check in at Nature camp. Visit of the
Desia Kondh village. Dinner and overnight.

Day 09 Rayagada - Chatikona - Rayagada - Jeypore
Breakfast. Later drive down to Chatikona weekly market of the Dongariya
Kondh people where you can see both men & women decorate themselves in a
similar way. This is a very beautiful colourfull market on wednessday attended
by the Dongariya Kondh people of 34-36 villages of Niyamagiri Hills.
Day 10 Jeypore - Ankadelli - Jeypore
After early breakfast proceed to Ankadelli - 70 km to witness the most primitive,
interesting & unique tribal weekly market of the Bonda tribes. The place is the
border of the neighboring state of Andhra Pradesh, divided by river Machkund,
with interest waterfall, mountain & forest.

You will be taken inside for about 2/3km walk to witness the Bonda man &
woman coming down from the forest side. It is being considered that at present
Bondas are the most primitive tribe of India or otherwise known as the Nakate
tribes of the mountain. Bonda women with their silver & brass rings around the
neck, hundred of necklaces on the body, shaved hair a small cloth wrapped
down to cover half of the private areas are out of any history book. In the other
side the Bonda men with their bow & arrow with country made liquor. A
fascinating one to watch. Photography in the market is restricted, so you can take
photo on this time. Free time in the market. Afternoon proceed to Lamptaput
area to explore another primitive tribal community the Gdabas - you can watch
the most colorful tribal dance call DEMSA. Late afternoon drive back to Jeypore.

Day 11 Jeypore - Kunduli - Rayagada
After breakfast visit of Kunduli market of Paraja. You witness the biggest tribal
weekly market of Sanaparoja & Mali tribes in Kunduli 65 km away via Sunabeda.
It is a very colorful market.Also Visit Jagannath Temple & Tribal Museum at
Koraput (The Jagannath Temple is a new temple built on 1972. Here Non Hindus
are allowed inside the Temples and all activities are similar to Jagnnath Temple
of Puri). Lunch on the way. Drive to Rayagada. Overnight at Rayagada.

Day 12 Rayagada - Taptapani - Chilika
Breakfast. Proceed to Chilka. Visit Taptapani on your way. Overnight at Chilka.

Day 13 Chilika – Puri
Drive to Puri after breakfast. Reach Puri and relax in the beach. Overnight at
Puri.

Day 14 Puri – Konarak – Bhubaneshwar
Proceed for a tour of Puri after breakfast covering Jagnnath Temple and Konnark
(The Sun Temple). Continue towards bhubaneshwar and overnight.

Day 15 Bhubaneshwar – Delhi – next destination
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Bhubaneshwar Airport to board flight to Delhi and
then onto your onward Destination




Tribal Circuit Trip

Duration: 12 Nights / 13 Days

Day 1 : Kolkata
Upon your arrival at Kolkata you will be met and greeted by our representative
and escorted to your hotel in the city for the overnight.

Day 02 Kolkata
In the morning visit the flower market and then passing through the government
buildings reach the Jain temple in South Calcutta and view the Rabindra Setu: a
cantilever bridge across the holy Ganges (called Hooghly in Calcutta). Today
visit the Indian museum with an ornate collection of artifacts. Also visit Kumar
tuli where the artisans make idols for several festivities prevalent in the north
eastern parts of India.

Day 03 Kolkata – Bhubaneswar (by train)
In time transfer to the railway station to board your superfast train to
Bhubaneswar. Upon arrival check into your hotel.

Day 04 Bhubaneswar
After breakfast at your hotel leave for a full day excursion to Nuapatna (weaving
village) and Sadeibarini (dokra casting village). Overnight at Bhubaneswar.

Day 05 Bhubaneswar
In the morning visit the temple town of Bhubaneswar including a visit to
Rajarani temple and the Lingaraj temple. Rest of the day is free to relax.

Day 06 Bhubaneswar – Baliguda
In the morning drive to Baliguda enroute visiting Khandagiri and Udaigiri caves
and some tribal villages and talking to the Paraja tribes. This is your first
introduction to the Oriya Tribes.

Day 07 Baliguda – Rayagada
Drive to Raygada enroute visiting Kutia Kondh Tumudibandh Areaand Kotgarh
Market of Kutia Kondh tribes. Overnight at Raygada.

Day 08 Rayagada – Jeypore
Drive to Jeypore visiting Dongariya Kondh Tribal Market at Chatikona.
Overnight at Jeypore.

Day 08 Jeypore
Excursion to Ankadeli to visit the most colorful Bonda, Gadaba & Didayi tribes
and some Gadaba villages. Overnight at Jeypore.

Day 09 Jeypore – Gopalpur
Drive to Gopalpur and relax on the sea front

Day 10 Gopalpur – Puri
Leave for Puri and upon arrival check into your hotel on the sea front. Relax on
the beach.

Day 11 Puri
Full day relax at the beach

Day 12 Puri – Kolkata
In time transfer to the railway station and board your train to Kolkata. Upon
arrival transfer to your hotel.

Day 13 Kolkata – New Jalpaiguri (by overnight train)
As per the timing of your train reach the railway station to board your train to
New Jalpaiguri.

Day 1 : Bhubaneshwar
Transfer to the airport for flight to Bhubaneswar. Reach and transfer to hotel. Proceed for
half-day tour of the city. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.

Day 2 : Bhubaneshwar / Ratna Giri / Bhubaneshwar
Full day excursion to Ratnagiri after breakfast.

Day 3 : Bhubaneshwar / Baliguda
Drive to Baliguda after breakfast.
Baliguda is in the district of Phulbani, through the beautiful countryside road full with
small mountains of Sal forest, one of the entry point to the tribal highland of Orrisa. En-
route visit typical Orissa villages.
Arrive at the hotel in the evening.

Day 4 : Baliguda
Today after breakfast you will make a visit the different Villages & Desai Kondh.
Overnight at Baliguda.

Day 5 : Baliguda / Belghar / Kothagargh / Rayagada
After breakfast you will depart to Belghar area visit of a few Huttiya Kondha Tribal
Villages & Weekly Market at Kothagarh.
Proceed to explore the villages of the primitive Kutia kondh Tribes, once famous for the
human sacrifice. Living in the mountain / forest cores are friendly tribal community. You
can take small/ long trek as you wish.
Lunch on the way.

Drive down to Rayaguda. Arrive in the evening.
Overnight at Hotel.

Day 6 : Rayagada / Jeypore
Morning proceed to Chatikona (40 km) to witness the Interesting & colourful weekly
market of the Dongaria kondh tribes.

This day this interesting ornamental Tribes come down from their mountain will known
as Niayamgiri hill range. This is an unique opportunity to witness them before they come
and mix with other community in the market, so we will take you 2/3 km from the market
near the Niyamgiri hill, so to watch & enjoy these community coming down with
different kinds of fruits, animal etc.

Free time in the market.
Overnight at Jeypore.

Day 7 : Jeypore / Ankadeli / Lamptaput / Jeypore
After early breakfast proceed to Ankadelli - 70 km to witness the most primitive,
interesting & unique tribal weekly market of the Bonda tribes. The place is the border of

Day 8 : Jeypore / Kunduli / Nandapur / Jeypore
Breakfast.

Morning proceed to witness the biggest tribal weekly market of Sanaparoja & Mali tribes
in Kunduli 65 km away via Sunabeda. It is a very colorful market.

Later drive down to Nandapur to visit village of Sanaparoja tribes. Visit village khilus.
Saana Padar, Bda Padar with small trekking and later later drive down to Jeypour.

You can also morning proceed to Gupteswar 70 km to visit the villages of very
interesting dhuruba tribe. Visit and walk through villages of Ramanguda, Dogariguda,
Silpader, Talur etc. There is an interesting tribe where the males like to put ornaments
living in the border of Madhya Pradesh. Visit the Cave temple of lord Shiva in the hidden
mountain famous among the tribes.

Later drive down to Nuagaon to witness the beautiful tribal weekly market of Sana Paroja
and then back to hotel at evening.

Day 9 : Jeypore / Laxmipur / Rayagada
Breakfast.

Visit Dhuruba Tribe, Laxmipur, of the Bondas Region. Also Visit Jagannath Temple &
Tribal Museum at Koraput (The Jagannath Temple is a new temple built on 1972. Here
Non Hindus are allowed inside the Temples and all activities are similar to Jagnnath
Temple of Puri). Lunch on the way.

Overnight at Rayagada.

Day 10 : Rayagada / Taptaoani / Chilka
Breakfast. Proceed to Chilka.

Visit Taptapani on your way.

Overnight at Chilka.

Day 11 : Chilka / Puri
Drive to Puri after breakfast.

Reach Puri and relax in the beach.

Overnight at Puri.

Day 12 : Puri
Proceed for a tour of Puri after breakfast covering Jagnnath Temple and Konnark (The
Sun Temple).

Day 13 : Puri / Bhubaneshwar
Breakfast at hotel.

Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Arrive by International flight, after traditional 'Swagat' (Welcome) our representative
would assist you at airport & transfer to hotel for check in.

Delhi is a bustling metropolis, which successfully combines in its folds the ancient with
modern. Its strategic location was the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as
their seat of power. In fact, more mythological cities are believed to be here, like the city
of Indraprastha from the Hindu epic Mahabharata, founded around 5000 BC. Numerous
monuments were built over several centuries by different rulers like Qutub-ud-din Aibek,
Alauddin Khilji, Tughlaks, Humayun & Shah Jahan, who built the Walled City Shah
Jahanabad.

Later in first half of 20th century much of New Delhi was planned by Sir Edwin Lutyens,
who laid out a grandiose central administrative area as a testament to British rule in India.
The division in walled city & New Delhi also marks the division in life styles. Overnight

Day 02 : Delhi - Bhubaneswar (Flight S2-6143 - 0815hr-1015hr) :
Today we take a flight to Bhubaneswar, the temple city of India. Once the capital of
ancient Kalinga, the city has a long history & is today a bustling centre for commerce &
religious activity. These temples are unique in themselves, not only in their architectural
beauty but also in the wonderful sculptures. These temples epitomize a comprehensive
history of Orissan style of temple architecture from its very inception to perfection
spreading almost to 2000 years from 3rd century BC to 16th Century AD.

Full Day Tour
Later we take a tour of Bhubaneswar visiting Lord Shiva Lingaraja Temple, the 11th
century temple of Bhubaneswar has been described as "truest fusion of dream & reality."
A rare masterpiece, the temple has been rated one of the finest examples of purely Hindu
temple. Every inch of the 55 m-high Lingaraja temple is covered with elaborate carvings.
Sculpture & architecture fused elegantly to create a perfect harmony. Next we visit
Mukteshwara Temple, a 7th-8th century AD is one of the most ornate temples in
Bhubaneswar. The intricate carvings of the deities stand testimony to the influence of
Hindu, Buddha & Jain style of architecture. The carvings on the roof are specially
striking.

We also visit Parashurameshwara Temple, a small but richly decorated shrine of Shiva
that was built in the 7th century. It is one of the best examples of the Orissa style of

Day 03 : Bhubaneswar - Puri via Dhauli, Pipli village & Konark (56 Kms - 02 hr)
Today we drive to Puri, en-route visit Dhauli & Pipli village & Konark (Sun Temple).
First we stop at Dhauli, where Mauryan Emperor Ashoka the Great renounced bloody
warfare & embraced the teachings of Buddha after victory over kingdom of Kalinga.
Here we visit Peace Pagoda known as Shanti Stupa built in early 1970 by Japanese. Also
visit two ancient rock edicts, today eclipsed by the presence of the Pagoda. Dating from
260 BC they outline Ashoka's detailed instructions to his administrators to rule with
gentleness & fairness. Next we visit the Colorful Pipli village, where Orissan
Handicrafts, the specialty is applique work.

Later we drive to Puri en route we visit Konark temple Chariot of the Sun God, built by
King Langula Narasimha Deva in the 13 century AD in the Golden era of Orissan art.
This crowning piece of Orissan architecture & sculpture is sheer poetry on stone.

February Attraction: Performance of the Annual Dance Festival which is held by the
stunning ruins of the Sun Temple. Renowned exponents of Indian classical dance forms
participate at this festival.

Day 04 : Puri
Today we visit the famous Jagannath Temple, dedicated to Krishna (Vishnu) in his deity
form of Jagannath, meaning Lord of the Universe (Jag translates to Universe, nath means
Lord). The present temple structure was built by Ananta Brama Chodaganga Dev in
middle of 12th century AD (1078-1147 AD). It is a curvilinear temple which rises to 214
feet. Crowning the very top is the 'srichakra' (an eight spoked wheel) of Vishnu. The most
important festival is the Rath Yatra or the Chariot festival once a year.

Later we explore the Puri beach, one of India's finest beaches. Puri Beach attracts
millions of travelers to India with its strategic setting & religious importance.

Day 06 : Puri - Gopalpur via Chilka Lake (200 km- 05 hr)
Puri - Gopalpur via Chilka Lake (200 km- 5 hr)

Today we drive to Gopalpur en-route visit Chilka Lake, famous for its bird sanctuary. It
is Asia's largest inland salt-water lagoon. Studded with small islands including the
picturesquely named Honeymoon Island & Breakfast Island, the lake is separated by a
sandy ridge. It is dotted with small islands & has an impressive array of bird life both
native & migrant. White bellied sea eagles, graylag geese, purple moorhen, jacana,
herons & flamingos are most popular bird species found. Other than the birds, its shores
are home to black buck, spotted deer, golden jackals & the lake is rich in aquatic life, its
water harbor various species of fish including the famous Chilka dolphin. Prawn, crab &
mackerel fishing is an important source of livelihood for the locales.

Later drive to Gopalpur on Sea, ancient sea port not often visited by tourists. Sand dunes,
groves of coconut palm & casuarinas separate the small town from the beach. Overnight

Day 09 : Depart Delhi -Transfer
Full Day Tour
Today we take a guided tour of Old Delhi, the 17th century walled city of Shah
Jehanabad, Visiting the great Jama Masjid, the principal mosque of Old Delhi. Built in
the year 1656 AD by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, it is the largest & best known
mosque in India. Later we walk down or take a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk,
the old marketplace of Shah Jehanabad now a picturesque bazaar to reach Red Fort, built
in the year 1648 by Shah Jehan.
In New Delhi, we visit Raj Ghat, memorial to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
It is a simple black marble platform that marks the spot of his cremation on 31 January
1948. Further we drive past India Gate, memorial built in the year 1931 to commemorate
the Indian soldiers who died in the World War I & the Afghan Wars. The names of the
soldiers who died in these wars are inscribed on the walls. President's House, the official
residence of the President of India, built in the year 1931. Until 1950 it was known as
Viceroy's House & served as the residence of the Governor-General of British India. We
will also visit Humayun's Tomb, memorial of Mughal Emperor Humayun, built in the
year 1562. The complex is a World Heritage Site & the first example of this type of
Mughal architecture in India. Qutub Minar, built in the year 1206 by Qutub-ud-din
Aibek. It is the tallest (72m) brick minaret in the world, an important example of Indo-
Islamic Architecture. Qutub Minar & its monuments are listed as a UNESCO World
Heritage Site. Later dinner & transfer to airport.
