Echols OMB_Peer_Review/OMB/EOP@EOP cc: Subject: OMB Bulletin on peer review I am a research engineer in the chemical industry who relies on our Government to make sound policy decisions based on solid peer-reviewed science, and I stridently oppose the proposed changes to peer review policy dictated in the OMB Bulletin "Peer Review and Information Quality." These proposed rule changes would dramatically slow any and all regulatory efforts, would provide undue influence to industrial scientists whose industries would be the targets of regulation, and would therefore endanger the public health. Furthermore, there is no evidence that the current system is not working or has ever led to poor regulatory management decisions. Since it ain't broke, your efforts to 'fix' it suggest that you do not truly have the public's best interests in mind. Bryan Smith Wheat Ridge, CO
