                        sends his monthly sales and use tax report
                                                                       summary, but this summary will still be
                                                                       helpful to those in the grocery industry

The 1%, 2%, 2.5%, and 3% Tax Group saw a very large decrease in 2006/7 due to a change made by the Department of Revenue in
what qualified as taxable merchandise in the Farm, Farm Fuel, and Manufacturing sub-group. When included in the grand total, that particular
sub-group skewed the grand total figures so that it appeared that the state’s sales growth was only 3.7%, instead of the more accurate 6.8%.
