Ambition:

Looking for a position within a multimedia company in which I can use the
experience I have gained over the past seven years working as an Online Creative
Developer/Designer. (Multimedia Designer) (Rich Media Designer) (New Media
Developer)

I am an ambitious person with considerable technical and creative design abilities,
and strong personal motivation.

I work hard and effectively, and really enjoy learning new skills. I thrive on personal
interaction and have always enjoyed good professional relationships with clients and
colleagues. I create effective designs/concepts that meet requirements and often
further the design idea itself. I have developed an ability to accurately interpret a
brief and feel confident in presenting the results of my creative strategy.

Having worked in-house for over five years at two large companies I feel the time is
right to move into a creative agency where I can work across a wider range of
challenges.

Experience:

Mail Connected – The Mail & the Mail on Sunday - June 2008 – Current Date

After joining the Mail on Sunday in June 2008 I have continued to further my creative
insight through the media of Flash and other rich media production tools. I work
directly with the Mail on Sunday Advertorial department maintaining their creative
portfolio and producing online content. Cross media projects have allowed me to
use my existing skills within film and design to produce behind the scene videos for a
range of projects including the Katie & Co / Jacobs Creek wine project that
increased general awareness of the brand by 16%.
I have taken a personal interest in pushing the online creativity of the Daily Mail site
by introducing drop down bellyband traffic Driver formats and synchronised cross
page advertising spaces to engage the users throughout their online experience.

Day to day tasks have included maintaining my own online department within the
creative/Advertorial department. Organising incoming briefs and completing tasks
reflective of their due date.

Working effectively with the team we produce award-winning campaigns that have
far exceeded clients expectations and have pushed the online boundaries in terms
of currently accepted media.

ASOS.com February 2006 – May 2008

Originally joined ASOS.com as Flash Developer, my role considerably expanded and
includes the direction of models on a catwalk set, operating multiple cameras,
editing the footage and publishing it on the website. I also worked with the in-house
creative team producing interactive flash rich media web pages for use on the site.

I was involved with introducing video to display products on the site, working with the
Creative Director to develop all the processes from production to site integration.

Improving the speed of production, I brought up the recording rate from 40 to 70 clips
a day, and am aiming to reach 110 a day with the introduction of new software and
components.

Over a 6 months period I improved the cost-effectiveness of my department through
the creation of new systems and the development of my skills enabling me to
operate on my own, without the need for a cameraman or lighting engineer, as had
been previous practice. Saving in excess of £50,000 per year.

Creative Trash – July 2005 – February 2006 – Freelance:

multiple demonstration projects for potential customers including website design,

food industry. While completing this task I was subsequently hired as
artworker/designer & then six months later I was appointed Print Manager. Tasks
included; interior & exterior shop display designs, vehicle designs, 3rd party personal
projects & managing the print & design area. I also maintained and operated two
large format inkjet & solvent printers. I learned to complete multiple tasks to tight
deadlines, and became very experienced at prioritising.
Adventure-Events.co.uk - 2004 – 2005 - Freelance
I was asked to completely redesign an existing website for a corporate entertainment
company. The new site included updated navigation and introduced an advanced
email system. This was achieved by collaborating with the client to fully understand
their needs and design the site to their full satisfaction. I am still assisting the client with
updates and giving tuition with Dreamweaver to allow them to update their own
system.
The Grove PR Consultancy - Spring 2004 - Freelance
