I work directly with the Mail on Sunday Advertorial department maintaining their creative portfolio and producing online content. Cross media projects have allowed me to use my existing skills within film and design to produce behind the scene videos for a range of projects including the Katie & Co / Jacobs Creek wine project that increased general awareness of the brand by 16%. I have taken a personal interest in pushing the online creativity of the Daily Mail site by introducing drop down bellyband traffic Driver formats and synchronised cross page advertising spaces to engage the users throughout their online experience. Day to day tasks have included maintaining my own online department within the creative/Advertorial department. Organising incoming briefs and completing tasks reflective of their due date. Working effectively with the team we produce award-winning campaigns that have far exceeded clients expectations and have pushed the online boundaries in terms of currently accepted media. ASOS.com February 2006 – May 2008 Originally joined ASOS.com as Flash Developer, my role considerably expanded and includes the direction of models on a catwalk set, operating multiple cameras, editing the footage and publishing it on the website. I also worked with the in-house creative team producing interactive flash rich media web pages for use on the site. I was involved with introducing video to display products on the site, working with the Creative Director to develop all the processes from production to site integration. Improving the speed of production, I brought up the recording rate from 40 to 70 clips a day, and am aiming to reach 110 a day with the introduction of new software and components. Over a 6 months period I improved the cost-effectiveness of my department through the creation of new systems and the development of my skills enabling me to operate on my own, without the need for a cameraman or lighting engineer, as had been previous practice. Saving in excess of £50,000 per year. Creative Trash – July 2005 – February 2006 – Freelance: Web-based print and graphic company. Tasks included creating corporate identity & multiple demonstration projects for potential customers including website design, working both alone and as part of a team, depending on the project. Print and proof reading were also my tasks. This was a full time freelance project. Coutts & Co - November 2004 – 2007 - Freelance Work Image editing for limited edition 2006 CBO calendar. MenuBox.co.uk - June 2004 – June 2005 - Contract Originally hired as a Mac Operator, tasked to design over 400 posters for sale in the food industry. While completing this task I was subsequently hired as artworker/designer & then six months later I was appointed Print Manager. Tasks included; interior & exterior shop display designs, vehicle designs, 3rd party personal projects & managing the print & design area. I also maintained and operated two large format inkjet & solvent printers. I learned to complete multiple tasks to tight deadlines, and became very experienced at prioritising. Adventure-Events.co.uk - 2004 – 2005 - Freelance I was asked to completely redesign an existing website for a corporate entertainment company. The new site included updated navigation and introduced an advanced email system. This was achieved by collaborating with the client to fully understand their needs and design the site to their full satisfaction. I am still assisting the client with updates and giving tuition with Dreamweaver to allow them to update their own system. The Grove PR Consultancy - Spring 2004 - Freelance Open brief from established public relations company to produce a corporate website to encourage new business enquiries. Complete creation from concept to execution, utilising existing corporate identity and colour schemes, but developing website themes, navigation systems and co-ordinating the content. Moore Media – Summer 2004 – 2006 - Freelance Moore Media is an advertising company (sign boards) based in London. I edited images to represent what they would look like with advertising material in place. The images were then displayed to the relevant local council to approve.
