Purpose:
The purpose of this assignment is for you to create a “professional looking”
portfolio which you can use to present to a prospective employer when applying
for future jobs. It should be updated regularly as you gain skills and work
experience.


Materials:
Your professional portfolio should be kept in a business-like binder. While you
may be limited by cost, we recommend a zipper type binder or a new one-inch,
three-ring binder. Folders and duo-tangs are not acceptable.

Each items, should be contained in a plastic 8½ X 11-inch sheets, which
protect papers and can hold extra copies to give to an employer.

Smaller items, such as photographs, newspaper clippings etc., must be
mounted on 8½ X 11-inch paper before placing them in the plastic sheets.


Method:
Your portfolio will consist of 4 areas representing your:
1. Academic Skills / Achievements
2. Work and Personal Management
3. Teamwork Skills or Other section of your choice (must be approved by your
   teacher)
4. Co-operative Education Placement
