• Photograms
• Made without a camera
  by placing objects
  directly onto the surface
  of a photo-sensitive
  material and then
  exposing it to light.
  Depending on
  transparency of the
  objects, areas of the
  paper will appear white,
  grey, or black.

Marco Breuer
                  Marco Breuer

• German photographer
• Radical approach to medium
• Work also undertaken without the aid of a camera,
aperture, or film. (Instead produced through a
combination of photogrammic, abrasive, and incisive
  techniques).
• Working solely with commercially available black-and-
white photo paper, Breuer investigates the possibilities
of the silver gelatin print far beyond the material's
  predetermined usage.
