August 8, 2007 MEMORADUM SUBJECT: SRRD and RD Response to EFED Regarding the Current Label and Use Information for Linuron to Support an Endangered Species Effects Determination Philip Errico Registration Division Dana Friedman Special Review and Reregistration Division TO: Steve Jarboe Biological and Economic Analysis Division Rafael Prieto Biological and Economic Analysis Division Dana Spatz Environmental Fate and Effects Division In support of the Environmental Fate and Effects Division’s (EFED’s) endangered species assessment of the California red-legged frog (CRLF), the Special Review and Reregistration Division (SRRD) and the Registration Division (RD) have reviewed current labels for linuron. There are a total of eleven Section 3 registrations. This includes five technical products and six end use products. In addition, there is one SLN for California. SRRD has reviewed the LUIS General Chemical Report to determine whether it includes all current registrations, all crops, and all use sites included on linuron labels.

The OPPIN data base includes registration number 352-726 but it is missing from the LUIS report. This registration is for a technical product and is not an active registration in California. The OPPIN data base includes registration number 66330-218, but no label exists under this number, as this product was transferred to a new owner under registration number 51036-78. Registration number 51036-78 was used to confirm that for this registration, all crops, and all use sites on active registered linuron products are included in the LUIS General Chemical Report. SRRD has confirmed that all other registrations, all crops, and all use sites on active registered linuron products are included in the LUIS General Chemical Report including the following: 352-660 352-677 352-679 352-686 19713-97 19713-158 19713-251 19713-367 19713-368 66330-218 (old Reg. # 51036-78) CA020006
