									SBRT-SYMPOSIUM 2011
   Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy

VU University Medical Center
      Amsterdam, The Netherlands
         January 27 - 29, 2011

                                 VU University Medical Center
Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the first VU University Medical Center symposium on Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy.
SBRT has evolved rapidly during the past 5 years and is now used to treat tumors at many different sites. This is reflected in
the symposium program which features internationally recognized experts from Europe and North America who will discuss
aspects of clinical practice, imaging and treatment-planning, as well as organizational issues for SBRT of the lung, liver, adrenal,
prostate and spine. There will be ample time to discuss cases with our experienced faculty, and to network with and question
the faculty and your colleagues. This state-of-the-art symposium covers all of the essential components of a clinical SBRT
program and is designed for both academic and community radiation oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists and therapists.

Why should you come to the VU University Medical Center?
The VU University Medical Center is an early adopter of new technologies and has a long history of stereotactic
radiotherapy, with one of the largest reported series of SBRT for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Over 600
patients have now received lung SBRT at our institution, including more than 200 treated with volumetric modulated arc
technology and we have initiated multiple trials in this field. The clinical program at VU University Medical Center also
includes SBRT for spine, liver and oligometastases.

We and our international experts look forward to sharing our experience with you and welcoming you to this symposium
in one of the cultural capitals of Europe!

CME recognition has been applied for.

Yours sincerely,

On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee
Ben Slotman, Johan Cuijpers, Max Dahele and Suresh Senan
