This is guide only to help ANCC players understand what they are covered for. It is
not meant to replace the policy wording and therefore for a more detailed
explanation of the cover available please go onto the following site:

What is covered under this policy?

Capital Benefits, Non Medicare Medical Expenses (and other
benefits) and Loss of Income

When and where are you covered?

   1. Playing in club and representation games, competitions
       or performances.

   2. Participating in training or practice sessions or official
       functions.

   3. Travelling directly to or from club and representative
       games, competitions or performances, training or
       practice sessions or official functions (limited to 20% of
       the limit of cover in the capital benefits table).

   4. Engaged in activities connected with Cricket whilst
       staying away from Your home during a tour for the
       purposes of participating in representative matches.

   5. Engaged in organised social or administrative activities
Capital Benefits

What does this section cover?

This section provides cover for the Specified Events as set
out in the table below.

What are the benefits payable?

$250,000 maximum for Quadriplegia/Paraplegia

$100,000 maximum for Death and other benefits as detailed
in the list of Specified Events below:

17.   (a) Any benefit payable in the Schedule
      above is limited to 20% of the amount if
      the injury occurs whilst travelling directly
      to or from an insured activity under the
      policy.

      (b) Any permanent total disability or
      permanent total loss of use of any body
      part not shown above will be
      compensated at a percentage of $50,000
      as determined at the sole discretion of the
      underwriter. Such determination will not
      be inconsistent with the benefits provided
      under events 6 to 16 inclusive. The
      benefit payable will be relevant to the
      insured persons capacity of employment.
Non Medicare Medical Expenses (and other
benefits)

What does this section cover?

This cover reimburses expenses that are not standard
Medicare items and incurred within twelve (12) calendar
months of You sustaining an injury and paid by You for
treatment certified necessary by a legally qualified medical
physician. This cover includes the cost of medical supplies
and ambulance hire.

Important Information

The Health Insurance Act (Cth) 1973 does not permit the
Trustee or Insurer to contribute to any charges covered by
Medicare (including the Medicare Gap).

This means that any charges for treatment from a Doctor,
Surgeon, Anaesthetist or Surgeon's Assistant are not
covered. It also means charges for X-Ray, some MRI Scans
(if Medicare registered) and Public Hospitals are not covered.
In addition, there will be no refund in respect of:

a. any expenses recoverable by You from any other
  insurance scheme or plan providing medical or similar
  coverage or from any other source except for the excess
  of the amount recoverable from such other policies/plans.

b. any expense to which the National Health Act (Cth) 1953
 or any of the regulations made there under apply.
What are the benefits payable?

                 for which a claim is payable under the
                 policy.

MEMBERSHIP       Covers the unused portion of                  $200 maximum per claim
REFUND BENEFIT   membership if You are injured and are
                 unable to participate in the remainder of
                 the season.




*Important note: You are only entitled to claim payments for
treatment received and expenses incurred whilst you are not playing.
Once you resume playing, you are no longer entitled to claim for
treatment received while paying.
Loss of Income

What does this section cover?

This section covers weekly income foregone by members, regional boards, players,
officials, volunteers, trainers, umpires, coaches, directors, officers, committees, sub-
committees and work experience students should they be injured whilst involved in a
cricket related activity.

What is the benefit payable?

The cover will be either 85% of the player's net weekly income or $500 - whichever is the
lesser. The maximum benefit period is 52 weeks. Please note that payments will be made
to claimants net of tax.

     14 day elimination period *

* This section is subject to an Excess Period and also considers any accrued Sick Leave and other entitlements or
insurance available to the person. In very simple terms, the player must lose 14 days income due to injury before a
claim can be lodged.
What are some of the major exclusions on this Policy?

This cover will not apply to events which result from specific causes. The following
examples of excluded causes could affect You:

1.   Sickness or disease including but not limited to any congenital condition, heart
     condition, stroke or any form of cancer;

2.   Being under the influence of intoxicating liquor, narcotics or drugs, other than as
     taken in accordance with the instructions of a qualified medical practitioner;

3.   Any criminal act by you;

4.   Playing cricket against medical advice;

5.   Air travel except as a passenger in a properly licensed aircraft owned or operated by a
     recognised airline over an established air route;

6.   Any pre-existing injury, medical condition, infirmity or weakness; and

7.   Pregnancy or childbirth.
