Notes!!!

1. The tabulated pressures above are based on the formula stated in ASME B31.1 or ASME B31.3
         using the following:

         a. Flat non-asbestos gaskets conforming to ASME B16.21.

         b. Structural grade carbon steel plate, ASTM A36 having a minimum specified yield
                   strength of 36,000 psi.

2. For plate that is identified as having a lower minimum yield strength, the allowable hydrostatic
         pressure must be reduced in accordance with the following formula:

                              Yx
                      Pma 
                              Y

         where:

                   Pma = Maximum allowable test pressure
                   Y = Minimum specified yield strength, ASTM A36
                   Yx = Minimum specified yield strength for material selected

3. Pneumatic test pressures shall not exceed 50 percent of the values indicated.
