Schemes of work are generally 5 weeks long to allow for intervention lessons at end or during units if thought appropriate.

Speaking and listening should be integrated into all schemes of work – this is recognised as an area of focus for improvement. Opportunities should be exploited to incorporate P4C either in schemes or because of
current affairs and issues.

We are currently using government APP tasks but ideally we should be writing our own to assess explicit AFs taught in schemes.
