					COURSE REQUIREMENTS
MCGILL

     Required: one full year of university courses: General Biology,
      Organic Chemistry, Physics, General Chemistry (all with their
      laboratory courses)

UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA

     Required:
      -Biology-Cell & Organismal Biology, Ecology Genetics & Evolution,
      Laboratory Investigations in Life Sciences
      -Chemistry-Structural Chemistry with Application to Chemistry
      Fundamentals, Physical and Organic Chemistry
      -English-any 2: Approaches to Literature, Approaches to Non-
      fiction, Literature and Criticism or Introductory to Literature
      Theory
      -Biochemistry; Organic Chemistry:1 full year plus lab

UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA

     Required:
      - one full yr in General Biol or Zoology with lab
      - one full yr course in Humanities or Social Sciences (Lit, Hist, La ng,
      Logic, Phil, Psych, Expository Writing, Soc, Anthro, Art Hist etc-
      must be same subject)
      - two of the following 3 full-yr courses in Chemistry; i) General
      Biochemistry without lab (ex. Intro to Biochem 0.5 & Metabolism
      0.5), ii) General Chemistry with lab, iii) Organic Chemistry with lab
UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO

     Required: at least 2 full course equivalents in Life Sciences:
      Anatomy, Biochemistry, Biology, Botany, Clinical Biochemistry,
      Immunology, Microbiology, Molecular Genetics, Molecular
      Biology, Nutritional Sciences, Pharmacology& Toxicology,
      Physiology & Zoology
      -at least 1 full course equivalent in Humanities: Classics, English,
      History; or Social Sciences: Econ, Political Science; or Language
      courses other than applicant's native language

UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN

     Required:
      -Science course: total of 3 or equivalent in:
      -1 full or eq course in Biology with lab
      -1 full or eq course in Organic Chemistry with lab or 2 half courses
      in Organic Chemistry with at least 1 lab or 2 half courses: 1 in
      Organic Chemistry with lab and 1 in Biochemistry with or without
      lab
      -1 other full or equivalent Science course unrelated to Biology or
      Chemistry (ex. Physics, Math, Computer Science)
      -Non-Science courses: total of 3 or equivalent in with at least 1
      full credit in essay course
      - examples, but not limited to English, French, Philosophy, Visual
      Arts, Women's Studies, Economics, Music, Anthropology,
      Geography, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology
