Aims and Scope:

The scientific conference with important international participation entitled “PRECLINICAL TESTING OF
ACTIVE SUBSTANCES AND CANCER RESEARCH” will be held in Kragujevac, Serbia, March 16-19, 2011., is
a unique opportunity for all participants to give their contribution in global fight against cancer. This conference will
be organized by CENTRE FOR PRE-CLINICAL TESTING OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCES – CPCTAS, FACULTY
OF SCIENCE UNIVERSITY OF KRAGUJEVAC, FACULTY OF MEDICINE UNIVERSITY OF
KRAGUJEVAC and SERBIAN PHYSIOLOGICAL SOCIETY.

CPCTAS (Centre for Pre-Clinical Testing of Active Substances) is a project financed under the European Union
through 7th Framework Program within Research Potential Work Program funding scheme. The project coordinator
is Faculty of Science University of Kragujevac (Kragujevac, Serbia), and other project beneficiaries are: Faculty of
Medicine University of Kragujevac (Kragujevac, Serbia), Institute Curie (Paris, France), School of Medicine,
Aristotle University (Thessaloniki, Greece) and Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (Skopje, Macedonia).
Currently, established Centre has significant research potential that can cooperate with both hospitals and
pharmaceutical industries. The international cooperation between EU and Western Balkan partner institutions will
be a strong foundation for the future mutual research activities.
