Labor Cost Distribution
                                         The delivered Account Code build process

                                             During periods of mass updates to healthcare
                                             enrollments, the Campuses require the capability

                                               For Benefits Administration, the maintenance of
                                               employee information can happen in one of two
                                               ways, 1) the information can either be manually
                                               keyed directly into the system, or 2) it can come
                                               in externally through a batch update. This form of

                                                 To allow grouping of certain job codes that would
                                                 be meaningful for benefits processing, a setup
                                                 table should be developed that provides the
                                                 ability to define job groups and tie those job
                                                 groups to a specific set of job codes. This would

                                                These fields can be programmatically populated
                                                based on defined criteria, thus reducing the need

                                                PeopleSoft delivers two pages, a Benefits
                                                Summary page that shows the current picture of
                                                the benefits that have been enrolled in Base
                                                Benefits, and an Employee Data Summary page
                                                that shows the common current information from
                                                the JOB record.
                                                CSU has custom fields that have been added to
                                                the JOB record that need to be made available to

                                                be viewed by users that may not have access to
                                                view JOB information from the actual JOB
                                                pages. In order to make these fields visible for
                                                Benefits Administration, they need to be added to
                                                the Employee Data Summary page.




                                                With Benefits Administration, newly benefits
                                                eligible employees are automatically enrolled in
                                                employer paid benefits (Vision, Life AD&D and
                                                Long Term Disability (LTD)). Depending on their
                                                eligibility and geographical location, employees
                                                can choose from different health plans, dental
                                                plans, flex cash, flexible spending accounts, and
                                                Tax Shelter Annuity (TSA) accounts.

                                                Currently, the Benefits Administrator provides
                                                new employees with benefit election information
                                                on several different pieces of paper. This
                                                modification creates a single worksheet for this
                                                purpose.




                                                Adding name to this search is a common request
                                                with PeopleSoft and something they will be sure
                                                to add in a future release. This is a situation
                                                where the customization of adding name will
                                                improve the functionality and efficiency of the
                                                page and probably will be replaced with delivered
                                                functionality in the future.
