    Military Child Appreciation Day set at Potter Park Zoo in Lansing

    Military families in Michigan are invited to attend Military Child Appreciation Day at Potter Park Zoo in Lansing
    from noon to 4 p.m. April 10.


    MSU Extension, Molina Foundation begin 50,000-book give-away to Detroit youth

    The Molina Foundation is donating up to 50,000 books to the Michigan State University 4-H Ready, Set, Read!
    program, to be distributed to youth in the Detroit area. Many of the books are about science topics, supporting
    Michigan 4-H’s focus on improving science literacy in the state, and the national 4-H goal of engaging one
    million new scientists in science programs by 2013.
