Personal Background: Six-plus years with OSU Federal managing the public relations effort and business development for all
12 branches in five counties and the real estate, business services and investment services departments, auto lending dealer
program relations, and all media relations. Served previously as Associate Director of Athletics at OSU (1981-2004) with
budget and sport supervision, radio and TV network responsibilities, marketing and media relations duties and community
liaison.
Business Marketing Niche: Serving all financial needs of the Albany area. Live, work or go to school in Linn, Benton, Lincoln,
Polk or Marion counties and you are eligible to join OSU Federal. The OSU Federal real estate program is among the top
five lenders in Linn County, business services has tripled its portfolio since 2004 and membership has grown to 66,000
members.
Biggest Issue Facing the Albany Area: Not uncommon to most areas these days---the job market. I sense it is picking up
and we are looking to play a role in that through small business lending opportunities….small business will be the catalyst
to the recovery. The strength of the Albany Chamber membership is impressive and plays a significant role in that rebound
as well.
Chamber Involvement: Manage the overall OSU Federal/Chamber relationship. We have representation
on several committees through our local branch and business services leadership. Again, I am a big
proponent of all that the Albany Area Chamber does for the local business community!
