Christian and Muslim teaching on marriage
    Both faiths believe in the following;
          o Sex should only happen in marriage
          o Children is an important part of marriage

Christians believe marriage
    is a special relationship between two people
    is a sacrament which involves God himself
    consist of one man and one woman at any time
    a couple will be in love and expected to develop that love

Muslims believe marriage
   begins the relationship between two people and their families
   is a social contract which involves Allah
   it is not a sacrament but a legal binding contract between a man and a woman
   polygamy is allowed in certain circumstances and when the laws of the land
      allow.

    not acceptable because it is not God’s intention
    it is the breaking of solemn vow made before God and the Christian family

     may be accepted as the last resort
     both parties should act towards the other with kindness when they decide to
      divorce
     husband must state in front of witnesses on 3 separate occasion of his intentions
      of divorce
     for a period of three months, couple stay in the same house but not sleeping
      together
