                     North Glamorgan NHS Trust (NGNHST)

 Diploma in NLP - Programme Specification

 Introduction

 NGNHST, are looking to run a Diploma in NLP and requires training to equip 12
 delegates with the skills required to support the OD agenda.

 The Diploma in NLP is an international award and is a usually a 4 day course run
 by the International NLP Trainers Association. The content is a fixed syllabus
 aimed at mainly business use of NLP. The 4 days training would count towards a
 20-day INLPTA NLP practitioner course.

 This specification details the requirements of a development course to meet this
 need. NGNHST seeks to commission a suitable course from an external
 provider, through a formal open competitive quotation process.

 Aim of the Course

 The purpose of running the programme is to support the OD agenda within the
 Trust and in particular changing behaviours to deliver results.

 Specification

 Working Title: Diploma IN NLP

 Course Duration: Estimated at 4 full training days, to be agreed with provider.

 Delegates/Participants: 12 in the cohort in order to maximise individual learning.
 Bids should state the costs of training up to12 delegates.

 Location: The training will be delivered at NGNHST. Venue costs will be met by
 NGNHST.

 Required Outcomes:

           Award: The Diploma in NLP. In order to meet personal development
            plans and continuous professional development completion of the
            course will lead to the award of the Diploma in NLP.

           Develop Skills and Confidence. Delegates of the course will gain
            confidence, knowledge and skills in NLP.

           Tools & Techniques. To have practiced a range of NLP tools and
            techniques and know why they are applied when and how they are
            used and what outcome can be expected as a result of their use.




 Administrative Requirements: In partnership with NGNHST the training
 provider should produce:

               Course Joining Instructions including
               Training location and first day arrival time & registration
                arrangements
               Start, break, lunch and finish times for each day
               An outline programme for each days activities
               Contact details for advice prior to the course
               Any action required by delegates before the event
               Any recommended pre-course reading lists
               A contract between trainer and delegates detailing what is expected
                during the course and the commitment of each party to the course
               End of course evaluation, to be shared fully with NGNHST
               Post course support arrangements

 Equality and Diversity: NGNHST promotes equality and diversity through all its
 activities. The provider must be able to demonstrate their commitment to equality
 and diversity and be willing to meet any identified needs of delegates in
 partnership with NGNHST.

 Health and Safety: The training provider, in conjunction with NGNHST must
 maintain a safe environment; ensure any activities delegates are required to
 undertake are safe.

 Welsh Language: This course and all associated materials will be required to be
 delivered in English with translation facilities made available if specifically
 requested by delegates. NGNHST will remain responsible for providing this
 service if required.

 Submissions – information required from the contractor



 It is anticipated that the programme will commence in March 2007.


 Potential contractors should submit the following:

     information on individuals who will be delivering the contract, including a ‘pen
      portrait’, as well as fuller CV’s describing relevant experience, training and
      qualifications


     details of processes to ‘quality assure’ service provision
