KIRIT SOMAIYA’S DEFAMATION NOTICE TO DIGVIJAY SINGH
BJP National Secretary, Dr. Kirit Somaiya dashed off a legal notice, defamation
notice to the Congress leader, Mr. Digvijay Singh. Yesterday, in UP, Mr. Digvijay
Singh made insidious statement about Dr. Kirit Somaiya and BJP President, Mr.
Adv. Dinanath Tiwari, who is the advocate for Dr. Somaiya, has sent legal notice
for defamation and has asked for apology from Mr. Digvijay Singh. Mr. Digvijay
Singh stated, “Kirit Somaiya, who was accused in stock market scam, is now
talking about the CWG, 2-G scams”. Adv. Tiwari has stated that Dr. Somaiya is
the person who exposed the stock market scam. He was a member of the Joint
Parliamentary Committee investigating the stock market scam. Dr. Somaiya has
never been charged, accusaed in any scam including that of stock market scam.
Actually, Dr. Somaiya is a rank-holder Chartered Accountant, has been conferred
Doctorate in Small Investors protection from Mumbai University. He is the
founder activist of Small Investors movement in India.
BJP leader has asked for Mr. Digvijay Singh’s apology in 7 days.
At a Press Conference at Mumbai, Dr. Somaiya said that it seems to be Congress
strategy to attack BJP leaders with baseless, absurd statements about corruption.
Whether it is Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari or now Digvijay Singh. In the
background of the recent major scams – Commonwealth Games scam, 2-G scam,
Adarsh Society scam, Congress want to divert the attention of the people. Dr.
Somaiya said it is for the first time in India’s history that, in a span of few months
Ministers/leaders of the Ruling Front have been forced to resign in 3 different
scams – Ashok Chavan, Maharashtra Chief Minister, in Adarsh Society scam,
Suresh Kalmadi, Congress Parliamentary Secretary in Commonwealth Games
scam and now A. Raja, Telecom Minister in 2-G scam.
