Anna Bastien, Human Resources Manager
Canada Pulp and Paper
678 Queen's Quay West

Dear Ms. Bastien:

After reviewing the current position posted on workopolisCampus.com , I would like to be considered for
the position of Communication and Marketing Assistant with Canada Pulp and Paper. Your company
philosophy of giving employees the chance to develop their skills and potential, as well as sharing in on-
the-job decision process is very appealing to me. The skills and knowledge that I have gained through my
Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies program and the diversity of my work experiences make me
well qualified for your position

My experience as Conference Co-ordinate Events Assistant at the University of Windsor provided me with
the opportunity to develop the business-related interpersonal, communication and organization skills that
you require. I displayed a courteous and professional manner at all times and dealt with last minute
requests calmly and efficiently. My supervisor often complimented me on my understanding of the concept
of service and hospitality based on the feedback she received from the event co-ordinators.

During this past year as a Volunteer at Centre for Career Education, I co-ordinated a seminar addressing
Careers in Communications. This required me to identify and research written materials, as well as
conducting informational interviews. I designed and organized the information into a concise format using
MS Excel. My written communication skills and creativity have also been challenged and enhanced through
my course work.

I am confident that I can meet the requirements that you have outlined and look forward to the opportunity
of meeting with you in an interview. Please feel free to contact me at (519) 111-2222 or by email at
james35@uwindsor.ca.

Sincerely,
(Sign your name)
