Background

As the focal point of performing arts activity in South Florida, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts
of Miami-Dade County serves as a showcase for the finest in established and developing performing arts
programs. The Center is the foundation on which established resident organizations build their programs and
extend their reach. The Center also serves as a laboratory, providing first class accessible facilities for smaller,
emerging and developing organizations and for the Center’s own innovative productions and events.

The Center provides our diverse audiences with opportunities to share South Florida's many cultures, offering
insights and understanding. As an educational resource, the Center broadens the horizons of our children and
enhances our quality of life by offering a full range of cultural and learning experiences.

The objectives of the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County are to:

       provide a broad range of performing arts experiences reflecting the diversity of our region, country and
       world;
       offer state-of-the-art accommodations for artists, cultural organizations and audiences;
       operate in an efficient and cost-effective manner and attract governmental and foundation funding;
       serve as an educational and cultural resource for children and under-served audiences; and
       Act as a catalyst for area revitalization and enhance regional economic opportunities and tourism.

In October 2006, The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts opened with two major halls designed to
produce and present the finest in classical and popular entertainment. The Center is a $478 million community
investment, managed and operated by the Performing Arts Center Trust, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation, in
partnership with the Performing Arts Center Foundation. The Center includes the 2,200-seat Knight Concert Hall,
the 2,400-seat Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House, a 200-seat flexible space Carnival Studio Theater,
and the 57,000-square-foot central Plaza for the Arts outdoor performance space.

The Adrienne Arsht Center is proud to be home to three artistic resident partners:

       Florida Grand Opera: formed in 1994 by the merger of Greater Miami Opera and The Opera Guild Inc.
       of Fort Lauderdale FGO stands as one of the oldest performing arts organizations in Florida. It combines
       a rich history of presenting internationally-acclaimed artists, lesser know operas by great composers as
       well as commissions of works of living composers.
       Miami City Ballet: is among the largest ballet companies in the country. Since 1986, MCB has toured
       more than 100 U.S. cities, Europe, Great Britain, South America, Central America, and Israel. MCB
       currently performs in four counties in Florida with an active repertoire of 88 ballets
       New World Symphony: has prepared 680 graduates for leadership position in orchestras and ensembles
       around the world. Since its inaugural concert in 1988 NWS has performed around the globe.

The Adrienne Arsht Center’s annual operating budget is about $43 million; approximately $23 million is
generated by ticket sales, other earned income, and the reimbursement of facility related occupancy
costs by Miami-Dade County.

Basic Function

A member for the Marketing Division, the New Media Manager serves as the central individual for the in-house,
day-to-day operation of the e-commerce program, working at both the strategic and operational level. This
individual has a combination of strong project management and hands-on technical skills.

With a focus on patron satisfaction and audience development and retention in a deadline-driven
environment, the individual will oversee the Center’s e-mail campaigns, social media campaigns, and all
website design, front- and back-end functionality, and updates. This position is also responsible for leading the
Center into new media, testing and securing the latest new technologies to ensure efficiencies and revenue
maximization. This is a full-time, exempt position.

Immediate Priorities

The New Media Manager’s immediate priorities are to:
      Website redesign.
      Transfer email systems from Tessitura Messaging System to WordFly.
      Become proficient in T-stats and RMA software; provide regular data support for marketing.

Responsibilities:

Counted among the responsibilities of the New Media Manager will be to:

       Strategizes, creates, and implements e-mail campaigns to increase and maximize all ticket-selling
       activities and communications for the Center e-mail list.
       Works across departments to gather requirements for web and email content, and to determine
       delivery method of new content (web pages, pod casts, v casts, emails, newsletters, etc.).
       Manages and delivers online web and media projects both internally and externally, including website
       redesigns, micro sites, mobile sites and applications, as well as piloting new sites.
       Manages E-commerce Coordinator, whose primary responsibility is creation and sending of external
       promotional e-mails.
       Manages all vendor and consultant relationships for online and e-commerce services.
       Selects and coordinates with third party vendors and other resources involved in web and design work
       for the Center.
       Proposes technology to support content requirements.
       Oversees all online content, including website and e-mail campaign, coordinating with appropriate
       internal and external partners for proper approvals.
       Implements and manage high quality and strategic writing standards for online content.
       Implements workflow management processes to manage continuous requests for changes and
       enhancements.
       Lead strategist for all online and new media initiatives.
       Working with every department in the Center, sets priorities for multiple projects competing for scarce
       time and resources.

       Maintains regular, thorough, and actionable statistics and analytics to understand customer behavior,
       and to drive customer satisfaction, acquisition and retention.
       Stays current with other performing arts organizations and drives improvements for best practices in
       innovation and technology, including web analytics and social media.
       Works with marketing colleagues to enhance usage and implementation of all Center online patron
       survey initiatives.
       Oversight of schedule and content of Center’s in-house digital signage system, in coordination with IT.
       Provision of regular data support for marketing department through T-stats and RMA software.
       Keeps the Center current, implementing the latest, successful mobile applications and technologies.
       Interacts with internal and external users to provide web technical support.

       Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Marketing.

Ideal Experience:

       Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management
       information systems, or related field with additional focus on marketing or general business.
       3+ years of experience in a role involving complex project/change implementations related to
       eCommerce, corporate, or arts organization internet presence.
       Experience working cross-functionally with multiple lines of business in addition to technical teams to
       define business requirements and facilitate the implementation of technical solutions.
       Track record managing and implementing measurable internet and e-mail campaigns and proven
       ability to recommend and put into effect strategies and technologies that provide positive return on
       investment.
       Significant understanding of ASP, .NET, XML, and HTML languages as well as relational database
       integration in the form of an API.
       Skills and/or experience with SQL or Access.
       Ability to direct the coding of functionality supporting detailed business requirements.
       Web server file management experience.
       Experience with IIS management, streaming media, flash, web casting, and design studios such as
       Adobe or Macromedia.
       Experience working in an Arts and/or non-profit environment.
       Web ticketing experience.
       Tessitura API experience.
       Experience with T-stats and RMA software.
       Strong writing skills; strong communication skills.
       Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
       E-marketing experience in the Miami market a plus.

Physical Demands
