Description:

Project: Duha Dlažka is one of the many Duha local groups spread through Czech Republic. It's
open to youngsters, children, adults and families, and runs activities such as summercamps, sport
weekends and events related with sports and board games. This year they are celebrating their 20th
anniversary, lets celebrate with them??

Work: Work on camp background: 1. cleaning wood and camp, 2. painting
small huts, 3. help with digging 4. help with repairing.

Lodging: Bungalows with 4 beds – we recommend your own sleeping bag, but if
necessary, linen and blankets are provided. Electricity, WC and showers are in the

Free time: Sports + games + arts = a lot of outdoor and indoor games, sport
of all kinds as football, volleyball, table tennis, ringo and many funny and crazy
games. The main language for all work camp and therefore for program is English
language. If some problem appears, there will be Czech and Russian speaking
leader.

Extras: Take for granted that our action is without any drugs for all. Smoking is
forbidden in the camp (only in special place for smokers outside of the camp).
Bring any musical instrument you can play (if you want to of course).

Description:

Project: NGO DoNitra, whose main activity is running self-developing programs and courses, is
based in the clean nature of protected area Kokorinsko
(http://www.kokorinsko.ochranaprirody.cz/index.php?lang=en). This area is full of sand-stone
rocks, Castles and frogs :) The DoNitra will show to the volunteers a sample of t heir splendid
workshops during the workcamp.

Work: building walls, building fences around the orchard for sheeps, cleaning, painting, garden
works and maintenance.

Accommodation: In a fully reconstructed barn, in 5 rooms with total capacity for 12 people.
Others: only vegetarian food (cooked by the volunteers).

Description:

Project- Ashram (Centre of Yoga in daily life) is a yoga centre situated near the “green mountains”
and its the right place to escape the so-called normal life. Yoga, meditation and even vegetarian
cooking courses are the ways to feel connected with yourself and with the surroundings. A healthier
lifestyle is somehow appraised and the many kind of teas sold there make us travel all over the
world.

Work- To build a house of straw, small reparation in the yoga centre, as well a s work in the garden.

Food- The volunteers will cook for themselves and will have the chance to improve their vegetarian
cooking skills :)

Accommodation- In the yoga centre, sleeping bag needed, mattresses provided.

Description:

Project: This workcamp is organized by NGO AREA
Viva,(http://www.areaviva.cz/index.php?xSET=lang&xLANG=2) fully focused on environmental
issues, promoting organic farming, running educational and training programs, producing their own
bio-products and publishing leaflets and publications on organic agriculture, sustainable cultural
landscape and rural development.

Work: To build a natural sewage, with a type of plant that possesses a purifying root, part of the
non conventional organic base camp at Biostatek Organic Farm. Some small manual work of
maintenance and reparation is to be expected.

Accommodation/Food: The group will sleep in tee-pee and tents at the site, there are compost
toilets and sun- heated showers at the camp base. Food will be cooked by the group, mainly from
local ond organic culture, vegetarian friendly. Be advised, basic conditions, only for the fittest ;)

Description:

ENVI, MANU

Expedice Natura is an organisation running the camp site situated in the natural protected area in
North Bohemian region in the area with Volcano Mountains (no volcano has been active for last few
thousand years). Workcamp is taking place at the camp site, where summer camps for children are
usually organised, surrounded by forest.

Work: Volunteers will maintain the buildings and surrounding area. Volunteers will also help with
cleaning a natural reservation nearby, especially a forest. Work can be hard, experiences with
manual work more than welcome!

Accommodation: In small huts, two people in each, showers and bathroom are in a separate
building.

Others: Ticks and mosquitos can appear in this area, better to bring repelent.
Another special feature: Its not possible to cook for vegetarians!



Wallachian Open Air Museum I

Project:
Wallachian Open Air Museum (National Monument) is the oldest museum of this type in Europe. It
was founded in 1925.Its different parts(Wooden Town, Mill Valley, Wallachian Village and
Hermitage) is a vibrancy in Wallachia between second part of 18th century to first 40 years of the
20th century. Amongst many activities, the Museum arranges traditional folklore festivals with
performances by folk ensembles and authentic interpreters of folklore. To know more, please visit

These is the first collaboration with DUHA, which focuses on the general maintenance of
large areas of the museum (approx. 60 ha).

Work:
Volunteers will cooperate with locals in the maintenance area and village Mill Valley, which is
focused on the presentation of traditional Czech agriculture. Volunteers will help with cleaning
forest after wind calamity in the autumn of 2009. Besides, volunteers will help with production of
hay and pasture areas for sheep, horses, cows, donkeys, etc. Volunteers will also work on the
inventory of the original components of the buildings of the 18 - 20th century, by sorting and
storing the preserved wooden beams from the so-called Carpathian timbered houses.

Accommodation/Food:
The volunteers will be accommodated in the attic of the building. There are 2 bedrooms, bathroom
and toilet with separate entrance. Sleeping bags are needed. Volunteers will have full board
(breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks). Vegetarian food is possible for vegetarians.

Free time:
We offer a wide range of leisure activities around the museum and city of Rožnov:
- Swimming, hiking, biking, theatre, museums, etc.
- During the workcamp it will be organized 2 - days trip to discover the region of Wallachia.
- Also, there will be the possibility of workshops of traditional hand-crafts (pottery, basketry, textile
technology, etc.)
-And also, if volunteers will be interested, there will be lectures on history - The social and spiritual
culture of people of the region of Wallachia.

Location:
City Rožnov, about 40 km from Rožnov - International Airport – Ostrava. From Prague train about
5 hours (max 3 transfers, daily 12 fast trains).

Extras:
It is forbiden to drink alcohol in the area of the camp (it is possible in the restaurant, where the
meals will take place)and there are special non-smoking places.
