                                          V.K. Madhav Mohan


                                           Mr. V K Madhav Mohan is the son of noted Malayalam litterateur
                                           V Madhavan Nair “Mali”, whose books have enriched entire
                                           generations of children in Kerala (India).

                                           Mr. Madhav Mohan’s academic background is multi disciplinary;
                                           he holds a B.A in economics from St Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad
                                           (India) and M.A in Economics (Gold Medal) from Loyola College,
                                           Chennai (India) and an MBA from the University of Cochin (India).
                                           In addition he was awarded the Rotary International Graduate
                                           Scholarship as a result of which he earned his third postgraduate
                                           degree namely, Master of International Management from the
                                           American Graduate School of International Management (also
                                           famously known as Thunderbird) Glendale, Arizona, U.S.A.

                          Mr. Madhav Mohan has had a varied professional career.
IT Pioneer
   q   As a pioneer in India’s IT advancement, he has been one of NIIT’s earliest business partners; today his
       company Expert Information Technology P Limited operates several NIIT education centers and has
       produced tens of thousands of IT professionals since 1987; in addition he has established e2Mars Infosys
       P Limited, a 100% EOU to provide world class e-learning, multimedia and application development
       services.
Banker
   q   As a banker he began his career as an officer with State Bank of India and then chose to pursue
       an independent path; in March 1996 he was nominated to the Board of Directors of State Bank of
       Travancore; he served on the Board with distinction till Feb 2002. During these 6 years he contributed
       to a 6 fold increase in the bank’s net profit, drastic reduction in Non Performing Assets and massive
       deployment of IT. As a member of the bank’s Executive Committee, he participated extensively in the
       sanctioning of large loans totaling billions of dollars and leading the bank on to a higher trajectory of
       growth.
Author, Speaker and Sportsman
   q   As a management thinker and writer he has published several articles in leading publications; as an
       economist he has published dozens of articles on the reform process. For his work in this area he was
       awarded a Fellowship by the prestigious Salzburg Seminar in 1992; selected articles are available on

    q   He was invited to visit the USA by the Government of the United States of America in 1995 as part of the
        International Visitors program; he was consequently a member of the Indian delegation on Intellectual
        Property Rights.

    q   Mr. Madhav Mohan appears on TV regularly and is a much sought after speaker on economics,
        leadership, management, work-life balance and personal development.

    q   He has also recently launched www.mentorsmantra.com to provide fortnightly mentoring articles on
        leadership, management, personal growth, work-life balance and explorations of spirituality.

    q   He has been a top level tennis player and nurtures a long standing interest in martial arts; he is also a
        Certified Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

    q   These experiences make him uniquely qualified to mentor top managements and business owners on
        change, leadership, strategy, personal development, human relations management and work-life balance.
        Consequently, he has designed and implemented a Corporate Mentoring Program for several companies.
        He has also conducted mentoring workshops for hundreds of executives in various companies in India,
        Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia.

        better results.

    q   He also serves on the Advisory & Academic Councils of the GIDC-ROFEL Institute of Management
        Studies, Vapi, Gujarat and on the panel of experts of Kerala Venture Capital Fund (P) Limited. In October
        2002 he was appointed to the Reserve Bank of India selection committee for campus recruitment of
        officers. He has also lectured regularly at the Reserve Bank Staff College, Chennai.
