Useful Training Tips
• • Always vary your program, doing the same thing for more than a couple of months (even less) will not only result in boredom, but also in the stagnation of results. Train harder rather than longer, quality reduction in body fat is achieved much faster and more effectively by all out efforts as opposed to long drawn out cardio sessions. *Refer to interval training session. Perfect posture is a must and will too often be overlooked by most fitness professionals. You want to make sure that when you achieve the body and ultimately the health that you want, that your posture compliments all of your work. Perform outdoor sessions as well as indoor sessions. Doing all of your training in one arena will not make you a well rounded individual, plus it is boring! Get outside and do some sprints or some stairs or even some walking/jogging. Apart from the fresh air it is important that you accustom your body to exercising in the real environment to ensure ankle stability and real life situations. Spend two to five minutes every day concentrating on your breathe, this will not only assist you in your training but in becoming a more relaxed person who is more in touch with who they are. As mentioned above vary the program. This could mean doing things on different days than you are used to or swapping the order of exercises around, or even doing a double up – two sessions in one day (one weights, one cardio). Whole idea is to keep the body guessing. Walking is a must; it is best done early in the morning as this is when you are going to burn the most amount of body fat, on an empty stomach. 45 minutes is advisable and this is not part of the program but simply a way for you to maintain good health both physiologically and psychologically, walk whenever you feel down it is the best antidepressant available! Keep a training log, it is the best way for you to be accountable for your exercise and at the end of each week you can see if you are improving, or god forbid, see if you have been a slacker! Enjoy yourself! Remember that exercise is one of the keys to living a long, happy, strong and privileged life, one of the true secrets to being different from the rest!
