Most of today’s career search is done via email or the Internet so make sure your resume is formatted to make

your resume uses "key words" that are going to generate Internet Hits during an employers resume search.
Your resume is the employer’s first impression of you. This type of career search demands that your resume
grab the attention of a prospective employer within the first 5 to 10 seconds of being reviewed.
You can do this by:
1. Creating an Objective that will tell the employer the positions you seek or the skills you wish to use.
2. Targeting the Objective with a Summary where you should highlight or bullet-point your background
information, skills, and strengths that most qualify you for the position.
3. Quantifying the Summary through your Education and Professional Experience. Explain the scope of
your responsibility and highlight or bullet-point your achievements, awards, and recognitions. Be sure
to point out examples of times where you or your team performed above and beyond what is normally
expected and the end results.
Remember, you are selling yourself and what your resume says about you can make or break you.
