Dear Colleague The next meeting of the CQ branch of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute will be held in Gladstone on Friday and Saturday 19th and 20th June 2009. The theme of the meeting is “Environmental Chemistry”, looking at what is happening in the local area with respect to environmental monitoring and including both air and water studies. The meeting will be in 3 parts: The first 2 will be held in the QAL Training Centre at QAL. (see attached map). Note that there are no special PPE requirements to access the training centre. Trade Show The trade show will be held on Friday afternoon and will feature displays and talks by several companies working in the field of environmental chemistry. This is FREE and includes light refreshments during the afternoon
RACI Meeting The RACI meeting will be held on Saturday afternoon and will feature speakers on issues affecting both air and water in the local environment. This event costs $10 and includes afternoon tea. Dinner Dinner for this meeting will be at Vino Vino, in Goodoon Street opposite the Grand Hotel. This is an Italian Restaurant costs $25 per head, note was originally a smorgasbord but unfortunately has to been changed to breads, Choice of Main and Dessert.
