Dear Kindergarten Parents,

Welcome to R. J. Neutra School, Home of the Jets! School starts on
Monday, August 17, 2009. Your child has been assigned to an AM/PM
Kindergarten class (8:00AM-11:25AM or 11:25AM-2:50PM).

Kindergarten is part of RJ Neutra’s Monday Early-Out schedule. Every
Monday, AM Kindergarten will leave early and PM Kindergarten will come
early and leave early.

         AM Kindergarten Monday Schedule – 8:00AM-11:05AM
         PM Kindergarten Monday Schedule – 9:30AM-12:35PM

In addition to the Monday Early-Out Schedule, RJ Neutra schedules
Kindergarten Double-Up Days. On scheduled double-up days, all
Kindergarten students attend from 8:00AM-11:25AM. These are days
scheduled to accommodate parent conferences, program practice, Open
House, and Kindergarten’s scheduled fieldtrip. You will find that schedule
attached. Please place it on your calendar. PM students are expected to
attend.

On the first day we have orientation for Kindergarteners and their parents.
All students in the morning Kindergarten class will have their orientation
from 8:00AM-9:30AM. The students in the afternoon Kindergarten class
will have their orientation from 9:30AM-11:00AM. May we suggest that
due to the duration of orientation that it may be best for toddlers and infants
to not attend.

During orientation your child will have an opportunity to meet his/her
teacher and play with his/her classmates on the Kindergarten playground,
while you receive important information, and complete various forms with
your child’s teacher. When the orientation is over, the students will return
home with their parent(s). It will be helpful if you have medical information
available during orientation, this includes names and numbers for emergency
contacts, doctors and dentists. Family pictures are taken during
orientation upon entering the classroom.

All students will return on August 18, 2009 at the regular time for
Kindergarten. Morning Kindergarten begins at 8:00AM and afternoon
Kindergarten begins at 11:25AM. All class lists will be posted at 4:00PM
on Friday, August 14, 2009. You will find the Kindergarten class lists posted
on the doors of K1 and K2.

Finally, I have provided a list of suggestions from RJ Neutra’s Kindergarten
staff that will help your child be ready for Kindergarten. We hope you find
it useful.
