									Dear Parents,

           Activities Week 2009 – Monday 6th – Wednesday 8th July 2009

This summer, the last week of the Trinity Term will consist of organised activities for the
Lower School pupils, where the academic timetable will be suspended for three days between
Monday 6th July and Wednesday 8th July. This creates an excellent opportunity for pupils to
mix with others in their year group and pupils in the year above or below. Each pupil will
have a choice of activity in which they wish to participate within certain necessary number
constraints.

Please read the attached information carefully before indicating your son or daughter’s choice
of activity and indicate in the boxes below, which activities you would prefer by order of
preference (1 being first choice and 5 being last choice). Please reply promptly as they will
be offered on a first come first served basis, according to the number limit on each trip.

I would be grateful if you would return the reply slip below, to reach me no later than
Monday 8th June 2009.

Please do not hesitate to contact me on the school number or via e-mail (jem@rgsw.org.uk)
if you have any further queries.

Yours sincerely

Jo Marsh
Head of Lower School Co-Curricular Activities

This activity is designed to inspire those of you who are creative and interested in the Arts.
The trip will involve a one day visit to the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford. The further two
days will be spent in school designing a giant project for display based on the day trip.

day students will spend a day at Drayton Manor Park where they will be able to observe
computer control systems in action as well as having a fun day out!

Dance workshops Price: £35 Yr 7 and 8

professional dancer from the 2Face Dance Company over the three days, introducing a range
of techniques and moves. The workshop is limited to 25 students, allocated on a first come,
first served basis.

Year 7 Cricket Tour Price: approx. £100 Yr 7

This is a three-day cricket tour of the Home Counties with fixtures against three prestigious
schools. Those pupils who know that they are attending should mark it on their option list as
‘Year 7 Cricket Tour’. Those involved with the tour should have already received notification
from Mr. Davis.
