it’s important that our friends take us and our needs to almighty God and ask Him to

Greetings from the Helsinki Link


We moved into a new home and were warming up “a new Link” in our home. Some of the active
visitors to our old home have taken up new jobs, and we have been able to enjoy a few new people
in our new home. One of the active members of our Link joined our church this past fall. So we
have had some changes to our Link.

Another change in our Link is the teaching material we have received in the Link Message
newsletter. This spring the newsletter of our church has included some lessons for the Links. We
went through them, and they have inspired some nice and edifying discussions. We are very happy
with this teaching material and hope to receive more in the future.

Greetings from the Hämeenlinna Link


The Hämeenlinna Link meets on Thursdays. There are a varying number of people present,
sometimes four, sometimes eight. The Youth Link meets on Mondays. They took the Alpha Course
for young people and were strengthened in their faith. We had an Alpha Celebration a week ago.

Some time ago we prayed, among other things, for the deliverance of the captives, in accordance
with Luke 4:18, 19.

Virpi had a vision of a chain that was swinging amongst us, trying to capture us. The chain couldn’t
get a hold of us because people’s outer layer was hard and slippery, like teflon. We understood that
Satan is already chaining his own, so he is only interested in the believers. The others belong to him
already. We understood that the truth makes us too slippery for Satan’s scheming to be able to get
hold of us. The Bible tells us that the truth will make us free.

1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

Greetings from the Askola Link


The Askola link meets every other Friday. The Links have been faithfully attended by five to six
adults each time. We try to encourage each other to become disciples and make disciples i.e. to
become what God has meant for us to be and also get other people to join us in following Jesus.

Each time we have also prayed for individual prayer requests and offered thanks for what He has
done. In February we were especially blessed when each one was separately prayed for by the
others standing around them.

There would still be room for new members in our link. Please, pray for increase.

Spring Assembly


The purpose of the Spring assembly is to bring together the people visiting the different Links. In
this year’s assembly we also had a baptismal service. The assembly took place in The Korso
Pentecostal Church, and we thank them for letting us use their facilities. We took up an offering
($196), which we gave to them as rent. The Pentecostal church has promised to use this money for
missionary work.

In the Spring assembly we heard two testimonies. Virpi Kröger told us how the prayers offered by
the church members had helped her. In January, in the link leaders’ meeting, Heli Sätilä felt that we
should pray for Virpi for 30 days. We decided to do this, and the church prayed for 30 days. Virpi
felt that God had strengthened her especially during that time both when it comes to her health and
her new job. This joint prayer effort challenged Virpi to pray more, too.

Markku Hyle told us how he had been cured from depression. The Lord’s help has been great and
significant. The fact that brothers and sisters in Christ have given him support and have been there
for him has helped him enormously. He hasn’t had to be alone. One visible result of this healing is
the fact that he was able to finish his education. The Lord is wonderful!



The situation in Finland

             Our economy is in trouble, which makes some people think about the
             deeper things of life. A lot of people have become unemployed. You
             could pray that at least some of the unemployed people could find
             something to do in churches and in the Kingdom of God, which always
             have some meaningful work available. So, there is hope for a revival in
             Finland.

The Link Church

We have two new members in the leadership team of the church: Marja Hiltunen and
Mika Vesalainen. Marja is a single-parent and the mother of a little girl named
Minna.
Mika is a young man, about 30 years of age. He is now dating. Marja and Mika bring
new viewpoints to the board of trustees. Will you, please, remember to pray
especially for these two people, because those on the board are always targeted, to
some extent, by the enemy’s attacks? Pray for protection, guidance, God’s presence
and wisdom in their lives.

In January the church changed the way it brings important information to its
members. Our newsletter, LinkkiViesti (Link Message), is sent via email every other

week. Once a month a compiled written version is mailed to the church members.
Also, our new net pages include LinkkiViesti. This newsletter has teaching material
to be used in the Links. In this spring’s lessons we have studied a book called
Foundations for Facing Forward by our General Overseer, Randy Howard.

Next August we’ll be getting visitors from Spain when Ximo and Judy Gregorio will
come to Finland. Together with them we are trying to reach new people to the Links,
which will resume in the fall. Will you, please, pray for this goal to materialize?

A vision of Scandinavia and the Baltic countries



Our dream is to reach our neighboring countries, i.e. the Scandinavian countries of Sweden,
Norway, Denmark and Iceland, and the Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Please,
pray for doors to open. Please, pray for contacts through which the doors will be opened. THANK
