									                               “CLIMB ST. PETE”
                           Are you UP for the Challenge?
St. Petersburg, FL –August 16, 2007 – American Lung Association invites you to join their
vertical race challenge. “Climb St. Pete” modeled after “Climb Tampa” stair climb event, was
inspired by St. Petersburg firefighters who train in the Bank of America Tower. “Climb St.
Pete” is a warm-up event to the American Lung Associations‟ 42-floor Stair Climb in Tampa,
where runners or walkers climb the 42 floors within Tampa‟s Downtown Bank of America
Plaza. “Climb St. Pete” will be a 28-floor climb.

The race will be professionally timed and ranked with start times every 30 seconds. Trophies
will be awarded to top 3 males and females in 6 age groups. Awards will also be given to top 3
fastest teams, largest team and highest fund-raising team.

Join the American Lung Association, St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Baker,
and Representative Kriseman in this unique 1st Annual Event. You can decide to participate by
going to www.stairclimbstpete.com and sign up as an individual or on a team to walk or run the
28 floors in the Bank of America Tower to help the fight against lung cancer. Sponsorships are

Entry Fee: $50, which includes commemorative t-shirt, shoe pocket (holds keys/ID), snacks,
drinks and light brunch buffet at the Finish Line Party.
Spectator Fee: $10 Donation (those not climbing, but would like to wait at the top for a
registered climber)
Whether or not you decide to participate in the actual Stair Climb, you can also be a sponsor.
There are several sponsorship opportunities including being a Door Sponsor which includes your
company name and/or logo on a stairwell door. Individuals can also purchase a Door
Sponsorship in honor or in memory of a loved one.



      All proceeds benefit lung cancer research, education and prevention programs.
