WINE LIST
When George Rapp, a vine dresser trained in Germany, and his followers migrated to New Harmony and settled here, they set themselves to growing a large variety of grapes and making wine for economic gain. Today, the tradition continues as the owners of the Red Geranium and New Harmony Inn still grow grapes at the local vineyard, Fragrant Farms. Many of the international wines available on our list are produced by independent, family owned and operated vineyards. Some are highly acclaimed, award-winning wines produced in small quantities, including several Reserve Vintages, and are available for a limited time only. Our list will change subject to the availability of wines.
The New Harmony Wine Society (NHWS) was established in 2004. Through the year, our members participate in tastings and wine-paired dinners with special presentations by noted vintners from various American wine producing regions. These fun events provide an opportunity to meet other wine enthusiasts, to share knowledge about wine and to explore new wines and food in the congenial atmosphere of New Harmony. Memberships are available and applications can be obtained from the Hostess. There is an annual fee of $75.00 which grants you the following benefits: Guaranteed admission to all of our special events that do not have restricted participation and when RSVP is received by the deadline 10% off food at the Red Geranium 10% off hotel accommodations at the New Harmony Inn Subscription to the Grapevine Newsletter Discounts on featured wines the day of the event Please visit our website at www.newharmonyinn.com for special events taking place at the Inn and in New Harmony.
