Why is CCIF established?

Recent benefit coverage
highlights and future plans
Ø By March 31, 2009, CCIF has already completed two batches of benefit distribution
covering 41,478 students in 113 schools of 38 districts in three provinces hit by
the “5-12” earthquake in 2008.
Ø Among them are 1,077 orphans from the earthquake. The distribution work has
been continuing and is expected to achieve the goal of covering 60,000 children
from “5-12” earthquake areas the by the end of May.
Ø There are 570,000 orphans registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs. These
orphans will be one of CCIF’s focused group to receive benefits of future donations.
Ø In addition, CCIF plans to provide our exclusive insurance product to more than
600,000 children between the ages of 3 to 15 in Zhang Jia Kou of Hebei
Province.
Ø We will gradually cover many more children in the other areas by the end of 2009.
And we hope to leave no child behind across China in a reasonable timeframe.
