Introduction to News Writing Description: This course is designed to give a comprehensive all round introduction to news writing. Every aspect of news reporting is covered including how to find and shape ideas for news stories; what to ask when an editor is briefing you; how to make sure you get all the facts you need to write a fully-rounded news report with no “holes” or unanswered questions; how to interview subjects, get the quotes you need and present them accurately - and how to write to deadlines. Requirements: No previous news writing experience is required. Duration: Two days. Cost: Public scheduled course: £595 plus VAT per person. The maximum class size is five. Private tuition: £990 plus VAT for two days of individual tuition. The cost includes course notes, six months telephone Helpline support, a certificate and lunch.
