2.   Apothecary symbols (e.g., dram or minim)

3.   IU (write out international units).

4.   Lack of leading zero (e.g., .5mg): Use a leading zero before a decimal point (e.g., 0.1)

5.   MS, MSO4, MgSO4 (write out “morphine” and “magnesium”).

6.   Q.D., Q.O.D., q.d., q.o.d., qd, qod: (write “daily” and “every other day”).

7.   SS for half.

8.   Trailing zeros after a decimal point (e.g., 1.0).
