Project Title            Engineering code Conversion/Enhancement Project

Description              “Steam turbine analysis system” porting from Sun Solaris OS to
                         Windows.
                         The Design time analysis code for steam turbine which contains
                         algorithms for computing heat transfer, stress, vibrations, wear out
                         problems, leakage, performance analysis and other mechanical
                         calculations is in Fortran code is to be ported from Sun Solaris
                         environment to Windows OS environment. The Fortran code has to be
                         modified for the Windows OS from the original Fortran-77 compiled code
                         to Fortran-95 CVF compiled code. Fortran DLL/EXE’s are developed in
                         CVF 6.6a.GUIs and graphics originally built on C is dependent on Sun’s
                         OS and graphics which are no longer supported by SUN are to be re-
                         built using Java Swings Technology on Windows. Java Swings is used
                         for developing GUI’s and graphics in Windows OS.
                         • Test Case Analyzer (TCA) is a TCS tool developed for testing
                         purposes. In the project TCA is widely used for developing test cases
                         and unit testing of the code. The tool helps to create test scripts and
                   ensures that all test cases are covered during testing.

Responsibilities   •       Designed the methodology for porting of codes.
                   •       Building of new GUI in Java swings technology
                   •       Involved in making Fortran DLL using CVF
                   •       Unit testing of the code to detect and correct defects in code and
                   functionality. TCS tool Test Case Analyzer used for unit testing. It
                   ensures that all the test cases are covered

                   world and each centre has stores Dept. This automatic indent
                   management system provides a capability to order the items in a
                   Controlled fashion. This system allows each stores manager to
                   View/Print the status of inventory of the store at any given time and also
                   to create/edit purchase order if he finds the inventory less than required.
                   The purchase order placed by store manager goes to the corresponding
                   HOD. The HOD now can either purchase. The requested material or
                   can send to main stores dept. The main stores dept HOD can now
                   arrange the requested Material from any other store or can go for
                   external vendor. This whole information reported back to the concerned
                   Stores manager. The system allows user to query and generate reports
                   on Date/Item/Dept basis. Also the system has the ability control the
                   access right of each user as defined

                     view or export the roadmap based on the privileges they have.
                     Roadmap can be saved as Draft (viewable/editable by author or
                     administrator)
                     or choose to publish (viewable by everyone including foreign nations).

                   to Oracle database. And to generate the forms for in putting the data and

                   reside in the Pratt centralized Server and will be accessed to all the

                   communicating requested MRP schedule changes to OEM’s (Original

                   and produce monthly metrics for distribution to upper management. Role
                   based security was implemented in this tool. Users will be allowed to view
                   only the SIMs for which they are authorized. The types of roles in this tool
                   are Customer Account Representative, MRP controller, MC controller,
                   Administrator.
