Three Tree Montessori School offers Montessori learning
environments in which children are encouraged to explore, learn,
and interact in a diverse community that fosters independence,
critical thinking, and learning for life.
FROM THE Dear Families and Friends of Three Tree Montessori School,

I would like to welcome all of you to Three Tree Montessori School’s 8th Annual Dinner
DIRECTOR and Auction. Our celebration this year, “A Night Under The Big Top,” promises to once again be
one of the most fun nights of the year. This gala event is sponsored by the parents and staff of
our amazing school and we couldn’t do it without their endless hours of hard work, determi-
nation, follow through and laughter. Joy abounds when you are in the room with these folks.

Over the last 7 years, this event has been our biggest contributor to filling the gap between
tuition income and actual expenses. It has allowed us to offer excellent and affordable
Montessori education, to hire the best trained Montessori teachers, to upgrade our
classroom materials, buy the school van, paint the building with vibrant new colors, add
pathways, gardens and play equipment to our outdoor environments and to grow into a
beautiful school that draws children from all over King county.

While we are sometimes still considered a diamond in the rough, we have been shining
enough to attract several new families to our school. As a matter of fact, we grew so much
we decided to start a brand new primary classroom (2 1/2 – 6 year olds) just this last
January. We now have two toddler classes, four primary classes and one fast growing
elementary class allowing us to serve children from 1-12 years of age. Our fourth primary
classroom is off to a beautiful start but it needs a lot to bring it up to the standards of our
other long standing environments. So, we will be asking for your help with our “Fund-a-Need”
item this year in order to fully supply this new room with all of the incredible (and expensive)
Montessori materials. You will see more details about this further on in our auction catalog.

In the future, Three Tree Montessori School promises to grow and serve even more
children from our community. We dream of growing into an elementary community
with three full classrooms, of buying a building for even more stability and becoming
an Association Montessori International accredited school. All of these dreams can and
will come true with your continued support.

So finally, I want to thank you for coming tonight to support such an important cause. You
are helping to provide what I consider the best educational program for your children and
           many more to come.

So here’s to you and yours…bon appetit!

FROM OUR Welcome to our 8th Annual Auction and Dinner, an evening “Under the Big Top”!
It is so exciting to have so many families and friends of Three Tree Montessori School

BOARD in attendance. This event has proven over the years to be our most successful fundraiser
and I’m sure this evening will be no exception.

PREsIDENT Funds raised from this event have gone to improve facilities, equip classrooms, to purchase
our school van, the primary playground, exterior painting of our building and so many other
projects. They are also used to fill the “gap” between our yearly tuition and the funds
            needed for operations.

Your attendance here is an important way to continue to build our school community.
Please take some time this evening and introduce yourself to someone new. By doing so,
it will keep our community growing ever stronger.

Thank you all for supporting this wonderful school by your attendance and your financial
contributions this evening. You are appreciated.

and calling benefit auctions for groups and organizations, all over the
country. Over those years he has participated in nearly 700 auctions

and for a wide range of non-profit organizations.

Andrew is delighted to be Emceeing tonight’s auction, and thrilled
to be working with such a great group of parents. Andrew has been

on stages throughout the Puget Sound area, has performed with the
improvisational comedy group “The Edge” for seventeen years, and
regularly sings and plays keyboards with the rock band “The Shrinking
Heads”. In his spare time Andrew practices medicine.

Here is a great way to support the school and your sweet tooth! Save room for dessert and place
your bid for an amazing array of tantalizing edibles. Each dessert serves a party of 10.

Here’s how the Dessert Dash works:

Each table will have a bid form for desserts. Interested bidders simply write their bid number and
the amount they would like to contribute towards the table’s dessert on the form. The table with
the highest total bids will select their first choice of dessert. The table with the lowest bids may end
up with Twinkies!

The proceeds from the Dessert Dash contribute significantly to our auction’s success, so please
give generously — your taste buds (and the school) will thank you! We suggest a minimum
donation of $20 per person, but remember, the more you bid, the better your chances of enjoying
your favorite treat!

Here’s how it works:
When you arrive at the auction, purchase as many raffle tickets as you would
like for $20 each. We will only sell 100 raffle tickets, so your chance of
winning is 1 in 100, or even better if you purchase more than 1 raffle ticket.

Hey, you buy lottery tickets now and again, even though your odds of
winning are, at best, 1 in a million! Your odds of taking home $1000
tonight are 10,000 times greater! Too much math? Let’s just say that you
shouldn’t miss out on the opportunity to go home tonight $1000 richer
than when you arrived!

Just prior to the start of the Live auction presentation, the winning ticket
will be drawn and we will announce the lucky winner!
