Carnival
Our major fundraising event this year is holding a Carnival on Sunday 21 June. Our Carnival will have rides, a BBQ, cake stall, gelato stall and great raffle prizes. As it is not far away, there will be a co-ordination meeting every Monday night at 7.30pm in the Staff Room. We need your support in making it a huge success for 2009, so if you have any ideas or contacts to help our Carnival, please come along and contribute to the meetings. Remember you can do a lot or a little, we welcome you. Keep a lookout for working bees during School hours if you are unable to attend the evening meetings.

Class Parent Representative
As part of the P&F Association’s endeavour to promote St Paul of the Cross and improve communication with the school community a Class Parent Representative has been suggested. This is an item for the Agenda for the P&F meeting on Wednesday 27 May. The idea is to have a Class Parent for each class. There may be more than one nominated representative for each class and this role can be shared, especially for the staged classes. The role of the Class Parent Representative is to help make communication between the P&F and parents easier. At least one representative from every class should attend each P&F meeting. If there is more than one Class Parent per class, these can be rotated between representatives each meeting if desired. The Class Parent Representative would collate/update a parent contact list for their class; plan a class social event so that all parents have an opportunity to become more familiar with one another; encourage as many people as possible to take part in School events; and bring issues to P&F meetings on behalf of other parents who are unable to attend. If you would like to help out and be a Class Parent for your child’s year, or would like to give some suggestions on this idea, we welcome you to our P&F meeting on Wednesday 27 May. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------CLASS PARENT REPRESENTATIVE NOMINATION FORM Please return slip by Monday 18 May marked to the attention of P&F Association.
