Title of Assessment: First Grade Quarter 1 Summative Math Test
Purpose: To familiarize students with 1st grade quarter 1 proficiency targets
and to provide end of quarter data and guide instruction.
Time requirements: Untimed math session
Resources needed/allowed: Pencils, erasers, classroom posters. All students
will receive scoring rubric. Math test, glue sticks and scissors
Protocols for administering assessment: SPED/ELL accommodations. This
test may be administered whole group or individually. This test should be
read aloud to the students. After reading the question no further help is
allowed. A document camera or overhead is recommended. Introduce and go
over rubric and expectations for proficiency with students. Introduce
student goal and monitoring sheet.
Teacher prompt: We are going to take a math assessment today to see
what proficiency targets you have reached proficiency in and what you
