From the Principal The staff and I would like to thank you for sharing your children with us! The 2008-2009 school year has been an incredible year! As we reflect on the year, we have much to celebrate! We are especially proud of our Scott Tigers! They have received a four star rating from the state and achieved annual yearly progress from the federal government. We are a great school because we have a winning team: students who strive to do their personal best, parents who support their children and our school, and an awesome staff who provides an exemplary education for our children! Our students achieve at high levels because we work together! We would like to wish our fifth grade students the very best as they move on to middle school. This is such an exciting time for them! They are well prepared for this journey that lies ahead of them. You will be missed! Please mark your calendar for our “Back to School, Open House Celebration” on Monday, August 10 th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Parents will have an opportunity to visit their child’s classroom, meet their teachers, take care of lunch accounts and visit with friends. You will also receive “beginning of the year” paperwork from your child’s homeroom teacher. This paperwork may be completed at open house and given to the homeroom teacher or you may send it back the first day of school. On behalf of the Scott Staff, have a wonderful, safe, and fun filled summer! We look forward to seeing all of our Tigers next fall! Please remember to make time to visit our public libraries and read some great books! Vicki Duncan Principal

Please collect used cell phones and empty inkjet print cartridges, laser toner, copier toner, fax toner and multifunctional printer cartridges from your home, work, coworkers and neighbors. Send them to school with your child. Collection boxes are located outside the office and room 39. There is no cost to our school to participate in this recycling program, so 100% of the proceeds will benefit Scott School.
