Letter from the Director
We are focusing on the Son in the sun. Jesus Christ is a daily focus here at Open Arms
and the days are much warmer and brighter outside as we move into the summer.
Every day before coming to Open Arms my children try to see what they can bring for
show and share or to lose in the van. My 3 year old, Addie, wants to bring the same
thing every day, a purse and matching sunglasses. She believes that if it is sunny out-
side she must be wearing sunglasses or she will melt into a puddle of goo. We have
the same discussion every morning about how God has given us the sun to enjoy and
to keep us warm.
What is a father? Soon we will celebrate our half-day promotions and graduations at Open Arms with
singing to Jesus for the wonderful things he is doing in our lives. We pray that you and

It’s Graduation/Promotion time for the Half-day Preschool!
On Thursday, June 4th at 11:00am our two and three year-old Half-day Preschool children will
celebrate their promotion at Open Arms. The ceremony will take place in the Sanctuary fol-
lowed by a pot- luck luncheon in the Fellowship Hall.
On Friday, June 5th, at 7:00pm, Open Arms will celebrate our 10th Half-day Preschool four
year old and Pre-Kindergarten program graduation. The ceremony will take place in the Sanc-
tuary followed by refreshments in the Fellowship Hall.
As the children continue onto their next adventure, it is our prayer that they will use the skills,
abilities, and faith that have been cultivated here at Open Arms to change the lives of those they shine on next.
