MARK YOUR CALENDARS - We will be CLOSED June 8 th – June 12 th due to college maintenance. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We will also be CLOSED for Bunker Hill Day (Wednesday, 6/17/09)!
The Children’s College 1st Year End Celebration is Friday, June 5th from 11:30 -1:00! Please RSVP at the sign in table
This month the m es ~ Reptiles & Dinosaurs Fieldtrip - Thornton Burgess Museum fieldtrip will be on Tuesday, June 2 nd . The cost for this trip will be $15.00 to cover admission and transportation cost. The bus is scheduled to leave the College at 9:30 am, please try to be here by 9:00. Please bring a “brown bag” lunch for we will be eating lunch there! Please make sure you put your child’s lunch in a disposal bag. Our estimated arrival back to the college is 1:00 pm so for those half day children please plan accordingly. We are planning exciting adventures for the summer and starting in July there will be one fieldtrip and one special visitor a week!! The cost of these fieldtrips will be an additional $15 a week. Some of the trips planned are a trip to the Cape Playhouse and Museum of Natural History. We also have the MSPCA, Cape Wildlife, and a Mad Scientist coming to visit!!! Looking Ahead -Again please let us know your last day or any schedule change you may have during the summer months. We will have open enrollment to the community and will be able to accept children of school age so if you know of anyone looking we have some spots available. We will also be looking for Fall enrollment. Please talk to your friends and co-workers about us and if a new child enrolls in the center and is referred by you; you will receive two $25 credits on your bill, one right away and the other after the first month. Evaluations a nd assessments Most of our assessments are completed and will be given to you hopefully by the end of next week. Please see Tonya about a parent-teacher conference if you would like to discuss your child’s progress in greater detail. Following the parent teacher conferences we will be distributing our 1 st center evaluation forms. We welcome your suggestions to improve our program! Networking & Feedback The new website www.thechildrenscolleg e.org ! It is up and full of updated information! CHECK IT OUT. We are also on Facebook and MySpace. Feel free to add The Children’s College as a friend and leave comments or suggestions.
Sum m er Some tips for those of you sending your children to our summer program: 1. Water shoes are required for swimming in the pool. State regulations require that children’s feet are always protected. Please try not to send your child in flip flops. They do not stay on and are also not safe for wearing on our climbers or for going on walks. 2. PLEASE remember to sunscreen your child every morning. We will reapply later on in the afternoon if needed. 3. Sneakers are required for all fieldtrips.
