asically, we are all designing on a budget, just some of us have less in the budget to work with. There are lots of easy solutions to creating a great look without a millionaire’s bank account. “The best low-cost designing tool is paint,” advises Anne Marie McNamara, owner of Chill Intertiors. “You can paint floors, walls, dressers you buy at a yard sale. You can change the entire look with paint.” McNamara is full of great and creative ideas and when you are decorating, sometimes a little creativity can transform a room. purpose, like dressers for bathroom vanities or simply painting a room with a new colour. McNamara promotes smart shopping. “If you want to completely make over a room you need stuff — you need product, you need accessories and pieces of furniture.” She says in her business, she might look at 200 pieces before deciding on what is going into a living room. Having a plan, with a budget that details what goes to accessories, furniture and paint, can make for an easy makeover.
