Fulton School Mentoring Program Helps Granby Elementary with Fundraiser On June 4th 2009 the Fulton School Mentoring Program of OCO, Inc. assisted the Granby Elementary School Parent Group in a spaghetti dinner fundraiser. The event was held at the Polish Home in Fulton, to raise funds for a new playground for Granby Elementary School. A good time was had by all as the youth and their mentors helped out in the dining room clearing and resetting tables. The Fulton School Mentoring Program matches adult mentors with Fulton youth in grades 3-8 and is a collaboration between OCO, Inc, The Fulton Community Task Force, Catholic Charities of Oswego County and The Fulton School District. Our partner, Catholic Charities, offers the Amigo Mentoring project which is a school based program that matches high school aged mentors with younger youth in the Fulton Elementary schools offering them peer support and a positive role model. If you would like to be a mentor or refer a student please contact April Geers, Mentoring Program Manager at 402-2093. Just one hour a week makes a difference! The Fulton School Mentoring Program is fully funded by the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services. OCO is a non-profit agency that has been supporting communities throughout Oswego County since 1966. Visit them at www.oco.org.
