SYSTEM COMPONENTS
Pipe Work The most important part of a Smart Central Vacuum System is the pipe work installed into the walls and ceiling spaces of your home. Installation is carried out by our trained technicians using quality pipes and fittings to ensure the piping lasts as long as your house. Blockage eliminators installed mean your system will never block when you vacuum up normal household dirt and dust. Tough long-lasting inlet valves complete the high quality installation. Inlet valves are available in a range of colours or they may be painted to suit your decor. Our helpful sales staff will carefully work out the most suitable positions for the inlets in your home. VacPan Automatic Dustpan A VacPan is installed into areas where it is easier and more convenient to sweep the floor than vacuum, like your kitchen or entryway. Piped into the vacuum system and located usually under the joinery units in the toe space, you merely sweep over to the VacPan, turn it on with a foot operated switch and watch the dirt get whisked away. VacPans are also available in a range of colours. Power Units What makes it Smart: 1 The heavy-duty steel body: the solid steel outer shell withstands powerful suction and normal wear and tear. The powder coat paint resists rust and corrosion for life. The permanent filter (bagless model): an anti-static layer of dacron sheds debris when the unit shuts off (self-cleaning). A polyester layer ensures maximum filtration (-98% at 2 microns) There is no venting required and no filters to wash or replace – ever. The power units are available in two main categories and ten different models.
POWER UNIT MODELS 1 Disposable Bag Models are exactly that; compact in design these machines are equipped with antibacterial paper bags and once the paper bag inside is full you simply remove it and throw it away. There are three models to choose from. 2 Dirt Pail Models where dirt is collected in a removable pail underneath the motor unit. These models have a permanent selfcleaning filter, so there is no need to purchase bags and the pail is easy to empty. There are seven models to choose from. Hoses Hoses are available in both standard and remote control options. The standard model activates the motor unit as soon as it is plugged in to the inlet valve. The remote control model allows you to turn the vacuum power unit on and off from a switch located on the handle. Both models feature a slide control to reduce suction when required and are available in either 9 or 10.7 meter lengths.
Accessories Each system comes with a range of accessories: • Combination floor tool: for carpet, tiles, wooden or vinyl floor coverings. • Round dusting brush: for fine furniture and electronic equipment. • Crevice tool: ideal for getting into those hard-to-reach corners. • Upholstery brush: a dual nozzle and brush combination, ideal for cleaning sofas and chairs. It features a detachable brush allowing you to clean curtains and other fabric surfaces. • Telescopic wand: adjustable for all heights and every cleaning purpose. • Hose Rack: to keep your hose neatly stored when not in use. • Standard tool caddy: clips onto the wand to hold your dusting brush, crevice tool and upholstery brush. Smart Security Systems

The new security systems offer a host of user-friendly functions, for a home of any size. Installing a Smart Security System adds value to your home, and peace of mind for you.
SYSTEM FEATURES
Main control panel has a built-in dialer that allows the panel to communicate with either a monitoring company or the owner when there has been activation. The panel can dial up to four landline or cellphone numbers. Tamper switches protect the panel from unlawful opening or removal of the enclosure from the wall. Keypad controls the alarm system with up to ten individual codes programmed by the owner. The backlit panel makes it easy to read, even in the dark. Night arming allows the security system to turn on some detectors in preset areas at night while leaving other detectors off while you sleep. The night arm is turned on and off by the keypad or a separate night arm station. Panic buttons activate the sirens and light when pushed. Once pushed the user has to enter the correct code to deactivate the alarm. Panic buttons are located on the keypad and on the night arm station. Battery backup is included in each alarm panel to power the security system if any mains power failure should occur.
Internal siren – This is located inside your home and is activated by a break in. The siren produces a very loud, highpitched sound designed to drive the intruder from the home. External siren and light sounds and flashes upon activation. It is located outside in a position that is easily seen by neighbours and passersby. The siren and light are an obvious visual deterrent. Passive infrared detectors detect intruders as soon as they step foot in the house, activating the alarm. Pet detectors allow pets to remain inside the home and freely walk around while the system is armed and protecting your home from intrusion. Smoke detectors are powered by the system with its backup battery and enhance protection of your house. When smoke is detected, the flashing light and very loud internal and external sirens are activated, alerting anyone at home to the danger. If the security system is monitored, the control panel will alert the monitoring company that it is a fire activation and the monitoring company will notify the fire brigade.
Heat detectors activate upon detection of predetermined levels of heat. These detectors operate in the same manner as smoke detectors but take longer to activate. These are best installed in areas where smoke, steam or cooking vapours are common and they solve false alarm problems. Remote controls, a small key ring remote is used to arm and disarm the security system as well as open and close garage doors and electric gates. Remotes make easier control of your security system as it removes any entry and exit time limits. These are available in two and four buttons to control your alarm and up to three doors or gate. Remote controls may also be programmed with panic buttons. Medic alert remotes are for those living alone or with medical conditions. Pendants are available to be worn around the wrist or neck. When activated, the alarm panel alerts the monitoring company that assistance is required.

SMALL TO MEDIUM OPENERS
Built for small to medium swing gates, these Italian designed openers are both smooth and quiet in their operation. For full driveway access gates can be opened to approximately 110 degrees. There are models available for single or double gates.
Keypads Keypads allow you to operate the gates while maintaining your security. Ideal for your visitors such as the meter reader, delivery person, gardeners, tradespersons, friends and family or even for when you go on a walk. Another keypad can also be installed for your garage door to give your house keyless entry. Auto Opening on Exit A vehicle detector installed in the driveway is a convenient and safe method of opening the gate when you or your guests leave the property. The dectector will only activate when a vehicle passes by, effectively stopping any unwanted access. Because you don’t always want your gates closed a bypass circuit with a switch in the house may be added to allow the gate to remain open for any length of time. Safety Beams
MEDIUM OPENERS
These harmonic swing gate operators are suited for gates of a medium size and where the architecture of the installation calls for compact design and built-in controls. For full driveway access both gates can open to approximately 130 degrees. There are models available for single or double gates.
SLIDING GATE OPENERS
Strong Italian made sliding gate openers offer solutions to homes where space is limited. These are available in both 24 and 230 volt models for small and large gates respectively. Smooth electronic control allows the speed of opening to slow down at the end of each cycle reducing noise and stress.
Safety beams may be installed across the gate pillars to prevent the gates closing when obstructed. This may occur when two vehicles enter one after the other, or when the children are playing on their bikes. If the beams are broken upon the closing cycle the opener will stop and reverse. Battery backup A battery backup will continue to operate your gate system during power failure. This is a quick and easy way to allow you to enter or exit until the power outage is restored or repaired. *Not available in 230 volt sliding gate models.
SYSTEM FEATURES
Manual Release A keyed release allows you to operate the gates manually while maintaining security. Pedestrian Access Allows you to control the gate to open partially, thus allowing pedestrians only entry. Auto Safety Stop Electronic sensitivity stops the gate if obstructed.
