About the Washington, DC Chapter of The ROCKS, Inc.
The Washington, DC Chapter of the ROCKS, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose membership is comprised of officers of the U.S. Armed Forces. The ROCKS provides mentoring and professional career development to its members and leadership outreach to ROTC students and others in precommissioning programs, such as the service academies. In addition, the organization funds the R.C. Cartwright Scholarship Fund, which provides aspiring Junior and Senior ROTC cadets with financial assistance for college while pursuing the required curriculum for officership in the US Army. Belmont Bay, The Ospreys Golf Club and Osprey’s Landing Restaurant are located in Woodbridge, Virginia, near historic Occoquan, just minutes off busy interstate 95. A short drive from all three of the D.C. metropolitan area’s airports, 30 minutes from Reagan National, 45 minutes from Dulles International and only 1 hour from Baltimore Washington International.
Directions to The OSPREY’S From the North: Take I-95 South from the Beltway past the Springfield interchange for 8 miles. Take Exit 161, Rte 1 South to Woodbridge (left exit). Proceed on Rte 1 for 2 miles, crossing over the Occoquan River and take a left onto Dawson Beach Rd (4th traffic light). Take an immediate left onto Express Dr. Follow this road through the community for approximately 1½ mi. (after approx. ½ mile, Express Dr. becomes Belmont Bay Dr.) Continue on Belmont Bay Dr. past the 2 traffic circles and proceed to the stop sign at Harbor Side St., where the marina will be on the left. Cross over Harbor Side St. and follow the road ¼ mile to the doorsteps of The Osprey’s Golf Club and Osprey’s Landing restaurant. From the South: Take I-95 North to Exit 160-A, Rte 123 South towards Woodbridge. Continue on Rte 123 South for ½ mile and make a right turn onto Rte 1 South (Jefferson Davis Hgwy). Take a left at the first light onto Dawson Beach Rd. -- FOLLOW NORTH DIRECTIONS TO CLUB. From the West: From I-66, take the Fairfax Cty Pkwy, Rte 7100 South, exit #55A South. Follow Rte 7100 South/ Fairfax Cty Pkwy South for approximately 5.5 miles to the Route 123 South, Ox Rd Exit. Continue on Rte 123 South approximately 10 miles to a right on Rte 1 South (Jefferson Davis Hgwy). Take a left at the first light onto Dawson Beach Rd. Take an immediate left at the light onto Express Dr. Follow this road through the community for approximately 1½ miles (after approximately ½ mile, Express Drive becomes Belmont Bay Dr.).
