The Sacramento Tree Foundation is a nonprofit organization leading efforts to build the best urban forest for the Sacramento region. We work with community partners and volunteers to bring trees to every neighborhood, business district, park, school and street. Our goal is to support the planting of 5 million new trees in our region by the year 2025 Since 1982 we have been building partnerships and empowering communities to envision the best places to live and invest in their urban forest. You may choose to plant a special Tribute Tree or adopt a tree from the Tree Foundation’s registry.
PLANT A TRIBUTE TREE
You can plant a tree in honor or memory of a friend or loved one. All trees will be maintained by the Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District. A card and certificate are sent to notify the friend or family, all for only $425. Where and when will the tree be planted? Tribute trees will be planted three times a year at Howe Park in the Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District. Friends and family are encouraged to attend and assist with planting the tree. What types of trees are planted? Based on our “right tree for the right location” philosophy, an appropriate tree will be selected from one of the 35 species offered by the Tree Foundation in partnership with SMUD. Can I add a plaque? A plaque can be placed with your tribute tree for an additional $75. Three lines of personalized text will be engraved before it is mounted and placed with your tree during planting.

For $25 you can adopt a tree in our 5million tree campaign registry*. We will mail you or your giftee a certificate with the registry number and species of one of the trees planted as part of our 5-million tree campaign. *Though each dedication is for a specific tree, we do not
put markers on the trees and cannot disclose the location.
