Afterschool care rather than go to an empty home. Children to participate in YMCA youth sports, which strengthen self-esteem and encourage physical fitness. Children to learn how to swim. Senior citizens to have a better quality of life by receiving much needed physical fitness. Children to attend summer day camp. Teens to benefit from educational programs throughout the year. “I would like to take the time to thank the YMCA for the scholarship that allowed my daughter to attend camp. She absolutely loved it, and would not have been able to attend without the generous help that the Y provided. With the current cost of childcare, it is nearly impossible for a young, single parent like myself to be able to afford care for the summer.
