IVAP Available Biology Techniques 1. Flow cytometry assay: Analysis of cell phenotypes and cytokine production in cell culture and body fluids. 2. Purification / isolation of cells for in-vivo or in-vitro specific applications. 3. Dosing of allo-or xenoantibody production. 4. Measurement of complement component: Evaluation of complement profile (CH50 activity and phenotypes). 5. Immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence staining: Identification and localisation of specific molecules or structure in tissue samples. Three-color immunofluorescence staining can be performed. 6. Labelling cells Monitoring of phenotype evolution and activity of cells in vitro and in vivo. 7. Experimental surgery (micro- or angio-surgery). a. General surgery: Splenectomy, thymectomy, cholecystectomy, nephrectomy, bile duct ligation, abdominal vessel surgery... b. Allo- or xenotransplantation: Cell or tissue transplantation: cell-, islet-, thymus graft transplantation. Immediately vascularised or secondary vascularised organ transplantation: skin, heart (heterotopic) or kidney c. Ischemia-reperfusion injury models Heart-, kidney-, liver- warm/cold ischemia-reperfusion injury models.
